Something that really annoys me is when people say Astoria changed Draco. It's a big misunderstanding and could also cause Dr*mione shippers to think that their ship is possible. Let me explain:
If Astoria could change Draco, then Hermione easily could too (we're ignoring their past relationship and Hermione's self respect here, of course). So what's wrong with Dr*mione and why is Drastoria so much better?
Here's the real situation. Astoria didn't change Draco. Draco changed for her. He did it himself, out of his love for her. That's why Drastoria is a great ship, that's why it works and Dr*mione doesn't.
Draco never changed for Hermione in canon. He never loved her, never cared about her, never thought about changing his views because of her. That's why if Dr*mione happened, Hermione would have to work her butt off to fix him and pull him to the light, as Dr*mione shippers say. And that's just wrong.
While with Drastoria, Draco actually bothered to change for her. Because he loved her and wanted to be with her.
That's the difference between Dr*mione and Drastoria. One requires a woman becoming a tool to fix a man who chose the wrong path as a full time job. While the other requires the man realizing his mistakes and making up for them for the woman he loves so they can be happy together.
That's the difference.
Let's cancel Dr*rry and Dr*mione. Together we can do this!
