You bet Jimin's ass, I will not be watching that awards show next year. It was a lackluster event. Performances were subpar, probably because no rehearsals were done. Lighting is too dark. Stage is so basic. And I can't believe they had the decency to invite everyone in Kpop industry. I am looking forward to Saturday's Melon Music Awards. It should at least have some great lighting and awesome stage.

I think we all let all these issues slide for the one in 2016 because it was the very first aaa show but c’mon…third year and still having problems with your mics/sound system?

I am also not a fan of extension. Mostly they are done for fan service, and the cohesiveness of the story declines. ... For me, one way the extension would be successful is if we drop the virtual part of the show. It needs to be different from the first 10 episodes. Its my wish that they change the format for some of the scenes, but I don't know if they would take that route. 🙏🙏🙏🙏

I agree that it's mostly for fan service. And Filipino dramas are serially known to decline in quality drastically because of extensions. I put my trust on the director tho. I'm hoping they'll not let us down. Or else, words will be had lmao

I don't think that they'll be able to drop the video calls entirely tho. COVID response here in PH is so messy that the numbers of infected are actually still rising. Even though some productions already resumed, I heard that they have to lock the staff and crew along with the artists on set for weeks at a time to minimize the possibility of infection. So I don't think that that will be practical for a web drama with only 3 remaining episodes. If ever they'll allow them to meet physically, idk if it'll last too long. I'm just assuming that but yeah. They'd probably would want us to ask for more 😂😂

The characters are a lot of fun but the story is mediocre and while the main couple's chemistry is off the charts, their romance narrative is kind of shallow. I didn't care enough about anything to invest more time in it. Unless there's another drama you want to try, you can continue. Many other people really enjoyed it.

If you are simply looking for an easy light drama free of angst, then I recommend you continue. But if you are looking for deeper meanings on every episode. No is the answer. ... I personally enjoyed this drama. Why Secretary Kim is the definition of romcom, in my opinion. Easy to watch, fun, and romantic. Simple as that.

I'm wishinf you all the luck with ep6. I had a hard time with that as well. The good stuff happened on episode 7 and after.

I managed to finish episode six! It was...better in some ways but not in others. (Instead of writing my commentary, I’m putting it off until tomorrow, which is a sure sign I’m not eager.) Glad to hear that seven and on are better--I’ll get there eventually!

Oh, Duel. I was looking forward to that one. Specially since the actor look like Byun Yo Han. ... I tried the first episode. But I couldn't get past the idiot detective. OCN thrillers are not as dark or violent as I wanted then to be. They still have melodramatic aspect to them, and that's not a good combo. The exception is Missing Noir M as it was darker and not melodramatic; excellent cases too. .... Re: Ci*cle, I dropped that at ep8 Hopefully, you'll get to finish it

Mmmm, I’m not sure how Deuk-chun is an idiot. He’s a soft-hearted man who is desperate to find his only daughter -- currently sick with leukemia -- who was kidnapped and who he was afraid would be killed if the ransom wasn’t paid on time. Everyone seems pretty smart, actually, especially surrounding a sci-fi element that’s based in today’s world. But obviously ymmv.

Mystery/thrillers are best binge-watched, though, because you get to put together the puzzles without having to wait.

Dramas are probably always going to have a melodramatic element, though, because they aren’t straight procedurals like many American/European thrillers are. They have to have an overarching story somehow, and that’s predominately driven by characters going through a journey. Which is why I often prefer dramas to a lot of American shows.

Might as well start over with SFD. It's been over a year since you watched the last episode. I believe that was Episode 24. Or maybe you ended up watching Episode 25. Either way, do you still remember what happened? I wouldn't, so I think it's better to start fresh.

If I start over I will never finish. Might as well call it Sisyphean Dragons.

I just didn’t have anything to add from the last time I’d mentioned it in January. “I adore Shin Min Ah and I really like this director, but I’m iffy on the concept and the writer.” I still haven’t watched any teasers or heard anything else about what the plot will be about (time travel is a fun gimmick, but what do you do with it?).

I also haven’t been on tumblr enough lately to hear any buzz so I have no idea if it’s a show I’d like, but I doubt I’ll start it anyway. I’m kinda in a self-inflicted drama depression where nothing seems appealing, so it’s not really the promotion team or drama’s fault. It’s just bad timing.

Noooooo!!! Not this one. Wait for two more episodes, please. Even though episode 9 sucked and 10 was saved by their performance, stay for one more week. :) :)

Sorry, I genuinely have no idea which drama you’re referring to (LotBS? Goblin? Those were my most recent drops and that’s more due to time constraints and being more interested in other shows to waste my time on)
