Do you have any tips for someone who has no idea how to do backgrounds? Your backgrounds are gorgeous whether they are simple or detailed and if you have any info or tips or practices that would be really useful
Ps love your art so much!
Hello, I am happy you like my backgrounds. 💜🥰
About your question: tbh I am still learning myself. What helps a lot is to look at nature and try to learn the depths.
Start in gray shades and just work on the forms you want to create. You do everything more dark what is closer to the front and lighter for stuff in the back.
Afterwards you can start to fill in some details! For example, flowers, leaves and stones!
Also it depends on your style, if you're gonna outline everything later on or if you paint it. I like to paint my backgrounds, so I don't overdo the details and rather use some texture brushes to paint the details, like grass, flowers and leaves.
With this style not everything has to be exact, you can make some random forms and shapes that just somewhat represent what you want to draw, like I did with this artwork and the grass for example:
Also I can really recommend watching YouTube videos about people showing how to do concept art about backgrounds and how to construct them 😊 that helps me a lot with my learning 😊💜
I hope I could help you a bit. Maybe I will show more one day while live streaming if you and others are interested 💜
