Day 4: My bard. My homie. My confidante.
My black mage. My best friend. My grooms lady
08. Insects in the City
Man this one was a pain in the ass, but I’m glad I got it done.
So over here in Oregon, fall brings these little guys:
That’s a Western Boxelder Bug. They’re basically harmless and, even though I’m pretty agoraphobic, these guys have never bothered me like a lot of other insects do. They’re actually one of my favorite parts of fall! They just chill in small groups on the wall, catching the autumn sun, and eating tiny nuisance bugs. Like last year when we had that big Eagle Creek fire, and had all those obnoxious ash-flies, these guys feasted on em’ like crazy.
I guess I really like them cos their color scheme fits with October so well. When I was looking them up I learned that part of their scientific name means “Red Striped”, which gave me the idea!
Good idea, but I guess that execution was...eh.
Some more Inktober/Drawlloween2016 Stuff. The Mad Scientist-Monday is a fanart of Birkov from the marvelous webcomic Not Drunk Enough by Tessa Stone :)) Read it, really. Also have some Wednesday Addams right next to him. The rest is pretty random.
