In the nostalgia charged aftermath of Adventure Time's series finale, the Adventure Time drawthreads on /co/ actually did come back. So those have been happening for the past week or so. Saw that was mentioned to you back earlier this year.

I remember those halcyon days well… I had actually wanted to draw something to mark the occasion but I didn’t feel up to it between the work I still have left for commissions and the sheer breadth of episodes I missed since I stopped watching.  That and I had no internet for the first half of September.  

Those drawthreads and my attendance in them were among the years of my life that I look back on with the most nostalgic longing.  I met artists there that I’m still friends with to this day, and to still be remembered in the threads even now is a true honor.  

You stay classy, /co/.

Some anonymous guy on 4chan with markers and no professional experience has been doing redesigns of some of the new Powerpuff Girl villains in the reboot trailers that look better/have more of the original show’s “Not afraid to make characters ugly” charm versus the new show’s Clarence aesthetic.

I’ve been very lucky with the artists on /tg/ in the drawthreads.

If you’re not familiar with a drawthread, anons post a request for an art, usually for a monster or character in their tabletop RPG campaigns, along with a reference. Some people ask for art for their ideas, sometimes it’s shitposters looking for waifu art. But it’s mostly the former.

The first two are by an artist named BoRis, but I seem to have misplaced his first piece he did for me. Below in the third row, is a piece by an artist known as Souza and beside it is by an artist here on tumblr named devinhoyt. That bottom-right image was delivered just today and completely blew me away!

The rest are by anons I do not know the name of, but this is a post just to show off how damn amazing and generous these folks are, because the kicker is this was all done for free. That’s how /tg/’s drawthreads work. This is just a shout out to the artists, some of which might be on tumblr, might not, but regardless, maybe it’ll get some of you to go over there yourselves and get these amazing drawthreads some exposure.

I've decided I'm going to start posting all my art on here as well (mostly so I can start taking commissions in the near future), so I guess it's time for a dump of some recent stuff from the drawthreads. Pretty much everything else, including a lot of doodles, is stored on my imgur (so check there for other stuff).
