“Fantine thought: "My child is no longer cold. I have clothed her with my hair." She put on little round caps which concealed her shorn head, and in which she was still pretty”
For @fantine-week day 3: Gold and Pearls
This was mostly an excuse to mess around with some new brushes but I think she turned out cute.
Fantine and Cosette at the Luxembourg Gardens
For @fantine-week day 1: Paris
I like to imagine that long before Valjean and Marius, Fantine took her daughter around all gardens of Paris. Maybe they felt familiar to Cosette all those years later
Silly little scribble for @valvertweek day 1 prompt: river
Staffy Valstaffy just dragged Inspector Shepvert out of the river Seine. Will they be able to start a new life together?
POV: You are Marius entering the back room of the Café Musain
Yes I did use Phoenix Wright as a pose reference. I’ve never played Ace Attorney but it felt appropriate. Happy Barricade day

The secret good ending of Les Misérables where Fantine makes a full recovery and her and Simplice track down Tholomyes and beat him to death!

I’ve been so locked in to watercolour and semi realism lately I’d forgotten the simple joys of using a thick black inking brush so here’s a marisette doodle. 1832’s most cringefail couple.
I’ve never drawn a proper Marius before! I have drawn Cosette many times but decided to add some moles to her design to complement Marius’ freckles. I also enjoy his very long nose and her very short one, I think it’s fun.
