I started my Masters program in 2017. I moved away from my hometown of Milwaukee, which fostered a whole lotta creativity in me, including my love for dance. I made a promise to myself that even though I’ll be studying like crazy, I would keep my creative side alive and not give up dancing . • • Sadly, in all the cities I’ve lived in since, I never really found a dance community I could connect with on the regular. I ended up dancing by myself a lot and pushing myself to do a bunch of solo freestyles/choreography. On top of that, the COVID pandemic has made things even more difficult to connect with others . • • Fast forward to today… Instead of dancing by myself during Term 5, I’m dancing with a beautifully growing dance community AND I’m teaching classes! It feels surreal🥲. • • • Thank you SGU for giving us the space to dance and letting us build our very own dance fam♥️ ✨Be apart of our fam and join Studio Sundays at SGU every Sunday @ 3:30-4:45 AST at the gym or tune in on IG live✨ . • • • no copyright infringement is intended. “Slide” - @hermusicofficial @yg #studiosundays #medschoollife #bringthecommunitytogether #drbaedances (at St. George's University) https://www.instagram.com/p/CTXfh4LnxhC/?utm_medium=tumblr
