how fast can he go
I assume by ‘he’ you are referring to Sonic The Hedgehog. The simple answer is that he travels at the speed of sound, hence his name. However the real answer is more complicated than that; Sonic travels much faster than the speed of sound.
Here we see Sonic about to travel back in time in ‘Blackbot The Pirate’ (Episode 48). Upon reaching terminal velocity he is able to circumnavigate the planet Mobius in 0.3 seconds. Now assuming that Mobius is the same size as the planet Earth that would mean it has a circumference of roughly 40,075km. Thus with a few quick sums we work out that Sonic was travelling at 133,583 kilometres a second, or 480,898,800 Km/H.
In comparison the speed of sound is 1,234 Km/H, making AoStH Sonic about 389,707 times faster than the speed of sound, and roughly half the speed of light (1080,000,000 Km/H).
If there was a bridge between Mars and Earth, Sonic would reach Mars in about 40 minutes.
Of course, in context Sonic is wearing atomic powered shoes given to him by Professor Caininestein. However we should also bear in mind that the shoes also enable Sonic to attain the speed of light momentary thus enabling him to enter the time warp (88mph eat your heart out).
However what is really interesting is the fact that Sonic is able to travel at such speeds. In doing so he is experiencing approximately over 30,000 g. In other words he is bearing the weight of at least 1,050,000kg or 1,045 tonnes. Which is the equivalent of 16 Challenger II MBTs or 5 Statues Of Liberty, and that’s a pretty rough estimate.
In other words, AoStH Sonic is nothing short of a deity.
