What I liked about this commercial was that it addressed the bystander in a way that almost put the viewer in the situation. It also has the vibe of the men talking to another man. It enlists the help of everyone because this is a situation anyone can find themselves in. Seeing something wrong and not doing anything about it puts you on the side of the one doing the wrong. The slogan #WhoWillYouHelp is powerful, showing that inaction is still an action even though you will not be the one to face the consequences; your inaction could come at someone else’s expense. The end of the commercial also put the viewers in the situation that they did do that right thing. They get to see how big of an impact they can make just by speaking out to stop a horrible crime. As a whole, this video showed that anyone could be the rapist, the victim, or the bystander and that when you are the latter, you can stop someone from becoming a victim. It’s a very important message that people need to understand. No matter the situation, no one deserves to face rape or sexual harassment.

     Although this catcalling video surfaced a couple of months ago, it is still so relevant. What is just as relevant is Steve Santagati's attempt at "mansplaining" away the prevalence of this issue. What is just as relevant is the idea that people share Santagati's view that a woman wants to hear these because they are somehow compliments and that these situations could ever be equated to, as Santagati says, "The Boy Who Cried Wolf." It's baffling that this man could claim that he is "more of an expert" than a woman about the issue of catcalling simply because he's a man despite the fact that he does not experience this kind of oppression. His arguments are flimsy at best. He victim blames, saying that women want to hear this and that "no one is holding a gun to your head" to live in New York when the real problem is that it is not just happening in New York. It has happened to me, whether I was in the city or the suburbs and by men of all different ethnicities. The problem, as Amanda Seales says, is that men are not listening to our discomfort and are generally, as a population, willing to discuss how to make women feel less uncomfortable in a public setting.
