It all stemmed from me remembering an OTP prompt were Person A and Person B both share a mutual love for C but ended up falling for each other instead. I imagined Person A being Dreadwing, Person B being Soundwave, and Person C being Megatron. After reading some slapping tags someone made of my idea, I realized that they could both complain to each other about their frustrations with Megatron, especially when it comes to him keeping Starscream around. They become confidants for each other and trust that they won't get ratted out. Dreadwing and Soundwave are pretty similar in that they're true Ride or Die Decepticons. I see a lot of potential in that. I hope that answers your question Night-Fury! Characters (c) Hasbro

Dreadsound Headcanons

Dreadwing is openly affectionate with Soundwave; much to her embarrassment (she secretly likes the attention though). He’ll shower her with compliments and bring her gifts that he knows will spark Soundwave’s interest. Whenever they go out, Dreadwing holds hands with Soundwave. It’s a requirement. She will send articles of the latest weapons to Dreadwing. She’ll even steal some for him as gifts on occasion.

Soundwave always gets nervous whenever the bigger Decepticon goes on a mission. She knows just how reckless he can be. When he comes back, she is the first to greet him. The moment they’re alone, Soundwave embraces him in a bear hug. Dreadwing isn’t as nervous when Soundwave goes on missions. He knows that the femm bot can handle herself. That doesn’t mean he won’t go feral if somebot hurts her.

Dreadwing is absolutely enraptured with Soundwave. He sees her as the highest evolution of weaponry, thus resulting in him worshipping her body behind closed doors. The weapon specialist makes everyone know just how much of a marvelous piece of deadly machinery Soundwave is on a weekly basis.

As far as sleeping arrangements go, Dreadwing will sleep on top of Soundwave or have it were the mech is the big spoon and she’s the little spoon. The silent Con will stroke the shuttle’s head when he’s lying on her whenever she wakes up first.

My gosh this was a struggle to get done, but it was well worth it!

I love how in a matter of weeks I went from having no TFP ships to being eyeballs deep into Megasound, Skyscream, RungRatch, and Dreadsound.
