Never Fear 50

Think 50 is the new 40? Think again. Because the type of happiness that a person can experience during this phase is truly on a different level and similar to that of our early 20’s. It seems that happiness follows a “u-shape” with many of us experience a slump in our 30’s and 40’s. Knowing this can help you see growing older more like growing wiser, since the change in perspective we experience allows us to appreciate and in turn gain more from life. 

So what’s the first reason to Never Fear 50 realizing that it’s only a number and success, happiness, family, and friendships only IMPROVE with age. Being happy with yourself regardless of age is the way to look and feel ageless.

Another reason why people fear aging is lack of financial security, and the big 5-0 makes us all realize that retirement isn’t that far away. Does the word retirement create more fear in your mind? 

It’s time to realize that life doesn’t end at fifty, but begin again, which means a new opportunity for career success. It’s never too late to choose your own dream, why not a part-time income option, that allows you to build residual income? Having a plan together for your retirement takes some of the stress out of aging, which in turn, allows you to feel younger.

What’s one thing that only gets better with age? Family. I couldn’t be more thankful for my growing family. From marriages, to grandchildren, the most important reason why life begins again at fifty is the continuation of the family tree and building of legacies. When you can pass on the wisdom you’ve learned than you truly understand life in a different way and can appreciate aging instead of fear it.
