Anyone good at dream deciphering?
So, I have the weirdest dreams from time to time, but there are times when I'll wake up with a /need/ to know what the stories and meanings of the craziness actually are.
Cue weird dream segment from some time this morning.
I can't really remember much, but I'll do my best to explain what it was I want deciphered, I was in a place that felt familiar but "twisted", for some reason there was sand, like someone had gotten a truck to dump a whole trailer of brownish orange sand that makes one think of the desert, in this -what felt to be a- suburban yard. I was walking to the gate to leave and confused by the mounds and dunes of sand, the tallest looking about as tall as my mid-thigh, maybe my hip, when a straight line across one of the more even areas caught my eyes, a line of what looked like a bird's footprints - A gull was the first that came to mind - but the hind toes seemed exaggerated or overly long, and if it were from a bird it would have had a left and right step visible. As I was looking at this line, I tripped and fell against the mounds of sand, as I've looked at my hand to push myself up I've noticed an odd patterning in the sand - a script, but it wasn't in English (the only language I can actually read), it looked more like runes, all in big "paragraphs" and blocks, with a neatness akin to a block of binary coding. My eyes tried their best to take in the information, like a desperate attempt to make sense or grab onto anything familiar and work from there, a futile attempt being that I can remember recognizing but not identifying several "runes" but now I can only remember that bird's foot looking one scattered throughout the texts.
And then the wind started to rise and stir up the sand and I was overcome with several emotions like disappointed and frustration, mainly at myself, and the feeling of loss, like I knew there was a message there for me and I wasn't able to receive it. I collapsed back into the sand in what felt like a personal defeat and suddenly slipped through it, becoming surrounded in green either ooze or smoke, as if I'd fallen into a Disney movie (the only way I can think to describe it, like Scar's "lair" with the hyenas in the Lion King), and had a feeling of expectation, an expectation of seeing someone there. From there on, I can't quite remember what happened or even if I woke up there and then.
