       i.          Bedroom forts and everything alight

a.      The point of no returns come spiraling. We’re poised perfectly, hung over each other like paper cranes dangling from cracked ceilings. Once, we were kids, wrapped up in red safety blankets that promised perfect realities to spill into someday. We haven’t reached that point yet. We’re on the precipice of a discovery, like scientists and atomic molecules, poised to either go into the trash or the history books. The pillows under my back are soft, forbidden clouds we smuggled into your room from the night sky outside, plucked with our bare hands. Your lips may be blushing pilgrims, but I am the ship that carried them here. A tendril wraps around the back of your neck, and here we are. Exploding.

I'm Going After My Dream

Dream Lives: Variation on a theme

Yesterday, I suggested writing down five alternate lives and some details. What makes each of these possible lives interesting?

If you didn't do it, there's plenty of time, try daydreaming even three other lives that would be fun to be experiencing.

Now. Looking at the details, the parts that make up the fun. Are there any patterns? More importantly, is there anything you could add to your current life, even just a smidgen, that brings out some of the feeling of aliveness? Or, a possible vacation at a later date?

No matter how crazy the dream lives appear, each one has a story and a message for you, who you are and part of you that might have been forgotten.

You never know when the time might be right for the doors to open on one of these lives, or something even better.
