ECSTASY [E.G.O] Ermine

I don't feel like this was very impressive. But it's done. It might be cooler to leave him naked, pfft. I just don't have much idea for the EGO suit and I wanted draw him half shark. I love the Dreaming Current.

The Dreaming Current was formerly a human child who was experimented on after being forsaken by his parents. It takes the form of a limp shark with two gaping toothy mouths and colourful tongues. Notably it has a large syringe impaled behind it's back and six holes in its abdomen. It's constantly squirming and gurgling in its chamber, helpless to the researchers who keep it confined for testing.

This resonates with Ermine a lot, who had grown up being force-fed canned experiences by the N Corp. These things aren't so different from the drugs they fed the shark, it revitalises your will to live, to fight, to die for N Corp. With every thought of doubt for the N Corp's causes, and every wishful thinking about going back home, the amount of canned experience administered increases.

In the brief moment where it escapes outside of its chamber, wouldn't it be so nice to just run? To get a taste of real ecstasy without the drugs. I imagine that Holmes would also get Dreaming Current as well, but it would be less ego dystonic than Ermine.

There's several Abnormalities whose risk level was changed over time. But the one that's the most interesting to me is Dreaming Current who was originally a HE and was upgraded to a WAW.

What I find interesting is that unlike all other Abnos, Dreaming Current is the only one where they were actively re-balanced to match their new risk level instead of their risk level being the only thing to change.

Abnos like Big Bird and Little Red used to be a HE in the legacy version, but were changed to a WAW when re-added to the game. Others like Portrait or Prophesy used to be a WAW but downgraded because apparently being a WAW was just a typo. And Queen of Hatred and Judgement Bird were a HE but upgraded to WAW to better match their actual difficulty.

But Dreaming Current is the only one to be updated to have higher E-boxes, higher max damage, re-balanced work preferences, and a upgraded armor when they had their risk level changed.

DC has always been one of the easier WAWs to work with due to its low damage and easy conditions, making it so that it would rarely escape. This is probably just a remnant of it being a HE. But I mean, a temperance level 2 requirement and not allowing panicking feels like something that a TETH would have. In fact it is a requirement a TETH has, being a less strict version of Bloodbath's requirement.

DC was actually changed fairly quickly, being added to the game as a HE in the 0.2.0.0 update, and then later being upgraded to a WAW in the 0.2.0.1 update after 3 weeks. If I were to guess why DC was changed to a WAW, it's probably because of how difficult trying to suppress it can be if you don't know what you're doing. I mean, just try comparing DC with All-Around Helper, there's a clear winner.

Ultimately, I am glad DC is a WAW since it gives a lot of decent armor and is a pretty easy Abno to work with. Knowing that DC got re-balanced like this, it would have been nice to see other Abnos be re-balanced to a different risk level, just to see what would have changed.
