Etymology yap time!!

in Vietnamese it's read as Tảo Tử Tảo Siêu Sinh.

Tảo 早 is a word that indicates early morning that eventually became a word for earliness. So you can imagine it's funnier in this context I propose "WAKE UP EARLY, DIE AND REINCARNATE!"

Siêu 超 is a word that indicates jumping across something, or figuratively surpassing everything. It's often used in the compound word siêu thoát to mean soul evicting from the mortal realm (from the belief that sometimes souls wander our human realm instead of moving onto a different planes or reincarnating).

If you use the reading that it means surpassing everything then you get something like "early bird gets the death" hahahah.

Hm.. Don Sr Chetwyn is really hard to write for… it’s just a cool thought but they’re really different plot wise. Like Chetwyn’s whole thing in the story is he’s too loyal to his roots despite wanting to seek freedom from it all. Fakest idgafer. But Don sr gave no fucks until Bari forced him to care… so it had to be a Chetwyn that was done fighting and cut all contacts with his dad, but why would he do it? Maybe it was after he turned bloodfiend against his will…

Maybe this First Kindred who he cut contact with was like his Hermann in the main world. And he was turned by her, forced to fight against humans and what not, but he’s sick of it. Hm… He fought the other second kindred that died. Then First Kindred kept making more Seconds after him. But you get the sense he doesn’t consent to existing this way, hence the depression and just wanting to stay in the castle all day.

Oh, if that’s the case, it would fit how Chetwyn is afraid of death so he doesn’t want to fight with the First Kindred anymore.

Tbh I can’t see why Don Sr Chetwyn would turn anyone else into bloodfiends though. Like he would only do it for his Sancho, but he wouldn’t need anyone else. I have an idea that his Sancho would probably be Jericho lol. And it would be fun to see them fight it out, when at first Chetwyn kept getting Jericho involved in his philosophical musings until Jericho starts reading to argue back with him, and they’re on totally different time periods 😭 time gap philosophy debates…

Honestly I could summarise Don Sr’s problems as don’t have another kid if you aren’t gonna care for her as much as you care for the first kid, because I am a second kid myself and I will defend Dulcinea with my life. You can’t do the math and provide for your second kid and all of her kids, but you brought her back to life so you are kind of responsible for all of their existence yk?

Anyway ya. Where it went wrong: Don Senior had an unplanned pregnancy when everything was going well with his single parenting and it spiralled from there.
