Dreaming Librarian Day!!!

I tried to get something new out for this event, I really did. Alas, t’was not to be. Luckily, Lucienne is one of my most written characters, and I have a host of already-published stories I can share in lieu of anything new.

Naturally, I have to start with hacia el mar, un lucero: recuérdalo (toward the sea, a star: remember it). It’s a character study, an examination of Lucienne’s past and present through the medium of physical form, and the memories that come (or don’t come) with it.

i carried this for years is one of the fics I wrote for my dearly loved rarepair Calliope/Lucienne, for which I posted the first fic ever on AO3. In it, Lucienne finally allows herself to feel the weight of her decades alone in her crumbling home, and Calliope is there to support her. Just showering so much love on Lucienne, and being so proud of her for giving herself space to acknowledge the pain she’s experienced.

nosso amor (our love) is in a similar vein, with Lucienne Feeling Feelings and being supported and comforted. This is an important topic to me! Clearly!! This one features Lucienne and Dream; I marked the fic as Gen, but the nature of their relationship is open to however you want to interpret it *blows kiss at all the Morphienne shippers out there* I really loved digging into their bond.

i’ll be your friend, i will love you so deeply is also about their bond, and it’s just pure fluff. Dream gives Lucienne a piggyback ride. That’s about it. It was SO fun to write. It was a delightful challenge having them both be so silly but still keeping them in character.

em tudo eu via nós (in everything i saw us) is another fluffy piece! This one is about Unity and Lucienne. I definitely think Unity chose to stay in the Dreaming. We see that scene in the show where Lucienne comes to Dream on the beach to tell him about Rose’s book, but what if he wasn’t the first person she told about it? Really got into my Rose and Unity feels in this one. Got to touch on Lucienne-as-a-being-of-stories as well, which is very dear to me.
