Jake slung his weapon over his shoulder, freeing his hand to reach to one of the many pouches and containers attached to his belt. Out of one of the larger pouches, he produced an energy bar.

“It’s not much, I know. I don’t need to eat much,” he explained, tossing it over to Charlie, “Take it. I might not need to eat, but you do.”

Civil war or no, Diane had a sweet tooth. And with all the stress of having to keep Atlas’ secret, and of killing people- no, splicers- Diane was desperate. It had been a while, but if memory served, nothing could cheer her up like a nice dose of sugar.

Before her world had turned upside-down, Diane’s favourite supplier of strawberry laces had been a sweet little old woman named Lisa. She hadn’t seen her for months, but hoped she was keeping away from all the conflict that had arisen in Rapture in that time.

The shop, Lisa’s Candies, was a little less welcoming than Diane remembered it being as she stepped in through the door and the little bell above it chimed, but such was the case with most places these days.

“Lisa?” she called, looking around the empty building. “It’s Diane. I don’t know if you’ll remember me.”

“Hey I- Oh, wrong person.”

Mal turned once she was called to, and hearing they had the wrong person, smiled in sympathy.

“That’s okay. Who’re you looking for?”

Alex liked Arcadia. It was the closest she could get to feeling like she was outside. And, while she was mostly happy in Rapture, happy with Frank and with her career in Fleet Hall, she did miss being outside. She was so preoccupied with her thoughts, that she didn’t notice the woman walking towards her, and she accidentally bumped into her shoulder. 

“Oh my goodness, I’m so sorry! I wasn’t looking where I was going.”
