It's funny and I'm a little bit embarrassed to admit it but when we decided to move to Europe I was convinced that we would be living in a Parisian style, character filled, apartment with a fancy wrought iron balcony looking over a park. Every morning I would have my latte and a croissant while I read the morning paper. To be fair, what my places lacked in character, one has unbelievable views and another had super high end appliances (like the kind I couldn't actually afford) so we've lived very comfortably.
