Re hanar mistreatment of drell
So there definitely seems to be something sketchy going on with the way the hanar treat the drell. Exactly what’s going on is a matter of headcanon, and I assume there are plenty of perfectly decent hanar and plenty more who are doing bad things with good intentions, but I’d like to add some possibilities:
Hanar arguments for keeping the drell under control, and not letting them have power, involve a lot of “But obviously they can’t be trusted to look after themselves! Look what they did to Rakhana!”
To complicate this: there’s a significant political/religious Kahje drell faction who keep insisting that the mess Rakhana’s in had nothing to do with industrialisation, and they should be allowed to industrialise Kahje the same way.
