Ladies day @driftbeachdubai started out quiet in the morning with iced coffees and a watermelon vodka cocktail. By 1 pm, the place was busy but luckily we were all quite spread out with some sitting on the beach and more around the pool. . We had a shady lunch at the pool bar: a delicious salade nicoise with anchovies, seared tuna, anchovies, olives, medium boiled egg, a mixed green salad with asparagus, kale, green beans, berries and pomegranate, and two portions of crispy prawn tacos. . The last few days of al fresco dining are upon us before the summer sets in and outdoor dining will be on hiatus till November. . We sat on the shaded terrace of @driftbeachdubai and had a lovely lunch despite the heat - a mixed green salad of shaved asparagus and artichokes followed by a sole meunière, tomato onion salad and grilled vegetables. .
