Artists At The Ready Audition (part 2)

so, there’s a thing on DA called Artists at the ready - it’s a big OCT that pops up every once in a while, and is pretty popular. It’s on again, started up at the end of last year, and I figured I’d try out for it.

I ended up getting in, but unfortunately, I got knocked out at the first round (my opponent was an excellent writer, something I still need to work on). at any rate, I realised I didn’t post any of the comic here - so, here it is, in all it’s glory ;)

doing some more playing around with Drifting Shadow’s look - again, trying to make him look a little more monster-y, a little less guy-in-a-kimono-y.

it’s been a while since I drew this guy, so y’all might not remember him.

so, I was playing around with Shadow's design, kind of wanted to make him look a little more monstrous. He is supposed to be an elemental spirit, after all. I've also been on a bit of a mer-kick recently, and I'v been into giving my mers really thick, powerful looking tails. I kind of like the idea that Shadow's tail is this massive, serpentine thing, it makes him look more... weird.
