**I tagged the most active people on my blog and the people who's blogs I watch the most. :) I ran out of people because I don't have lots of tumblr buddies but if you got tagged it's cause I like you! <3
If you are tagged on this, read on and follow the steps!
Thank you, http://got2startsomewhere.tumblr.com! :)
Rule 1: Post the rules.
Rule 2: Answer the questions you were tagged on and make 11 new ones.
Rule 3: Tag 11 new people and link them to your post.
Rule 4: Let them know you’ve tagged them
1) What’s one song that makes you feel good?
Girls Run the World - Beyonce
2) What’s your favorite TV series?
Oh man, well there's a couple. Being Human, Buffy, Futurama, American Dad and Vampire Diaries are a few good ones right now, although there are a few that will always be in my memories.
3) What’s your favorite exercise?
Yoga and hula hoop dance.
4) What inspires you the most?
Myself, honestly. I was very close to being a drug addict and a failure pretty early in life. If I had continued on that path I'd be in a much different situation right now and the fact that I even got out of it is my inspiration. I didn't quite drugs, alcohol and smoking to sit around eating chips and working a job I hate! I'm going to get healthy, work on my hobbies and get a job that makes me happy.
5) Favorite place to visit?
Well there's nowhere outside of Alaska I've ever been but in Alaska I like to visit parks around town that I've been going to since I was a kid.
6) Define yourself in three words or less:
Persistent, silly, insightful
7) If you could give one piece of advice to the world, what would it be?
Think before you talk. Not in a mean way but I think if more people thought it out, gave it a minute, did some research and were willing to be open to ideas we'd actually be getting somewhere. Also, it's okay to be wrong and it's okay to change your opinion based on new information.
8) Are there any sources of mental/spiritual inspiration in your life?
Zen Buddhism is my current 'religion', although followers of the practice would not exactly call it a religion. Buddha's words, Eihei Dogen's words and Brad Warner's words have all really made a difference in my life and in how I see things.
9) Post a lyric to a favorite song:
- We're going all out so get em up get em up and if they wanna take a picture tell em we don't give a fuck.
10) Post a favorite quote:
- The Thunder, Perfect Intellect
For I am the first and the last.I am the honored one and the scorned one.I am the whore and the holy one.I am the wife and the virgin.I am <the mother> and the daughter.I am the members of my mother.I am the barren oneand many are her children.
11) Share a picture that makes you happy:
That stupid quote from a silly kids show is burned in my memory because it's something people so rarely are told. If you don't immediately show talent at what you're doing many teachers, parents, friends and anyone who's in your life will just kind of ignore your attempts at that thing. Adults take notice of kids who are doing things really well already and so I feel like a lot of kids get left behind. The ones who aren't grasping things just yet are the ones that need help. They need a push. Persistence trumps talent, honestly, because talent is nothing. It's a word we use to place on people who are fast to pick up techniques. Some people aren't fast o pick up techniques but eventually they do pick them up and that is persistence. In some cases persistent people will exceed people who are relying on the idea of talent alone. Practice, persistence and believing that the journey is more important than results is what will keep you going when you're feeling like you're no good at anything.
