Daytime Chesterfield Cocktails / $1
Just discovered that from 12-3pm weekdays, with the purchase of food, the above cocktails are only ONE DOLLAR each at The Chesterfield in downtown Dallas. I experienced this deal firsthand last Thursday. The exact same cocktails go for $8+ after 3pm. Coincidentally, later on the same day I was there, investigating rumors of a possible closure, the Dallas Observer popped in and reported the bartender didn't know what a Sauzerac was and that undesirable 90s rock filled the air. I've no idea if the place is in trouble, but my pals and I had a friendly bartender who muddled and shook our (several) drinks to delicious perfection. He chatted us up about how they don't shirk ingredients or steps. The $1 day drinks are served exactly as they are later. Moral of this post? Get on down there and day drink up, just in case the Observer prediction is correct. You can't beat this drink deal anywhere.
