I just wanted to say that I appreciated your comments about Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. Because yeah, WW should not be a rail-thin model, she should be fit and athletic. Gina Torres is still my perfect cast, plus Gina has said she'd love to do it. (I'm also upset about other things, like Warner saying she is "too tricky" for her own movie, but it's okay for her FIRST MOVIE EVER to be as a side character without her name even in the damn title.. So I'm just not impressed with this decision)

Warner Brothers really needs to get over the outdated mentality that female action heroes don't sell (LOOK AT THE NUMBERS FOR THE HUNGER GAMES FOR CRYING OUT LOUD) and produce a well thought out WW movie, preferably written and/or directed by a woman to minimize misogynistic nonsense.
Being realistic about how incredibly racist Hollywood is, despite how much I want Diana cast as non-white, getting a woman of color to play the role is probably too much to hope for, unfortunately. But at the very least they could cast someone who didn't look like they were going to snap in half in a strong breeze. (Again, no offense meant to Gal. I have no beef with her personally, and I hope she does well in the role. But yeah, I'm really side-eyeing the decision to cast a super-skinny model as WW.)
