We all know the Fiends' writing and general concept is Bad but I still can't help but be fascinated by Driver Nephi's cut dialogue. He's rude like any raider would be written to be but at the same time he'll warn female couriers to stay away from Cook-Cook and he's the only character in the entire game to call Mormonism a cult that he's glad he escaped from (and he seems to genuinely believe being a Raider TM is a better life).

that joshua “prepare to meet your maker” video is so funny bc in cut content it reveals that one of the fiends, driver nephi, is a former mormon and can be assumed a former new canaanite so joshua showing up to fuck him up is basically like your old youth pastor coming down from utah to personally murder you

"Three violent psychopaths. A great bounty for every one of them. All this courier is their heads in THREE-CARD BOUNTY." THREE VIOLENTLY HEAD-POPPING ADVENTURES INSIDE. FEATURING COOK-COOK, VIOLET, AND DRIVER NEPHI. This was a commission, for an EC comics/2000AD style cover for the Fallout New Vegas quest "Three-Card Bounty", where you're tasked by the NCR to hunt down and take the heads of three lieutenants of the local Vegas known as the Fiends. In it you face against the sadistic pyromaniac Cook-cook; insane dog lover Violet; and killer golfer Driver Nephi. You're paid a great amount of money for bringing their heads as proof, and likewise are given a small amount if you shoot their heads (or have the Bloody Mess perk) and thus ruin your chance at a huge reward. It's a fun quest, but is difficult not just for how many Fiends there are around these targets, but also how you have to avoid going for the more effective head-shot to take them down easier.
