Knight's Game - Talent Predictions

Mouse: SFX Designer

He has a mild sound motif already. Also he's the mouse, so he'd be 'quiet as a mouse.'

OX: Journalist

The design in her eyes is a shattering effect - this could be reflective of 'breaking news.' Also, there's a newspaper behind the cast line up I think so a journalist amongst the cast would be quite interesting ! Especially if she's the first victim.

Also she's 'hard headed' (she literally has horns) which could lend itself to her getting the scoops she wants.

Tiger: Boxer

Arbitrary ! She could really be in any fighting career ahaha. I chose boxer because it's simple and effective.

Rabbit: Hypnotist

He has a broadly 'sleepy' motif with the spiral eyes and moon belt. The imagery feels vaguely evocative of hypnosis to me at least. Having a hypnotist in a killing game where a memory wipe is an immediately central element is also very very interesting.

Dragon: Manager

Very arbitrary. Tiger and him have matching outfits so I assumed he works within close proximity to her. Being a sports manager is an easy conclusion to this which also fits his general demeanor.

Snake: Toxicologist

I'm surprised this take isn't more common honestly. He has a clearly reptilian motif with bright fluorescent colors. This screams venom to me. Also, he very clearly evokes Charles & Ellie imagery so having a chemical related talent would be very interesting when paired with them.

Alternatively a herpetologist but I find this less interesting.

Monkey: Roboticist

They work for a prominent big tech corporation and they're presented as mischievous and somewhat threatening. Her having a hand in MonoTV's creation feels like a natural conclusion at least IMO & roboticist is an easy talent to make that work with. Engineer or Inventor also work fine, I just like the sound of Roboticist.

Sheep: Seamstress

She has a fleece motif as well as a needle design in her eyes. A sheep seamstress seems pretty consistent IMO! Fashion Designer also works fine for her.

Horse: Host

Horse is host.

Rooster: Teacher

We know that he is a teacher and not a student so this is not particularly surprising ! If he was a former ultimate I think former ultimate lucky student or journalist would be very fun.

Dog: Bounty Hunter

He has dog tags and a dog motif; Soldier is frankly much more likely, I just favor Bounty Hunter. Soldier is also already a talent in the mainline games so I don't know if they'll reuse that.

Pig: Model

Occam's razor. She's fashionable and confident. Regal, wealthy, powerful. Any other number of talents fit just as well though, like pageant queen, fashionista, fashion designer, influencer, etc.

She's quite open ended.

Welcome to the world of “Earth Two”. A very creative name, I know; you can thank the geniuses who landed upon this planet almost thirty years ago. Alas, this place feels like home for you. In-fact, it’s the only home you’ve ever known - a world where vaccines preventing death from old age were rolled out thirty years before you were even born, where money has turned back to peaceful bartering, and where everyone lives in such perfect harmony that you’d perhaps think it to be too good to be true.

And, funnily enough, it IS too good to be true. As the sun rises after a glamorous wedding, our band of ragtag morons— I-I mean— our band of future heroes find themselves waking up in a hotel.

The newly-wed couple have invited you all to their hotel-based honeymoon full of escape rooms, murder mysteries, dinner parties, and bloodbaths. And, in case it isn’t clear, by “invited you all to their honeymoon”, I mean “taken you all hostage for their honeymoon”.

As an ancient magic starts to run amuck through the building, faces familiar and unfamiliar greeted with powers they could only have imagined in fairytales, everyone must band together to survive a game of life and death. How sadistically sweet!

You must be 16-21 to join, due to that being the general age range of the users currently in my KGs, and you must be able to VC! OCs and Canon Characters allowed! More rules are explained in the waiting room! Hop on in!

Introductory World Info

✣ This game is NOT in the same universe as Hope's Peak, and the events of the main Danganronpa games. 

✣ Students between the ages of 15 and 18 are able to earn an Ultimate title by making significant contributions to a particular field. There are very few.

✣ An international organization known as the Ultimate Organization is responsible for delegating all titles.

✣ Once an Ultimate ages out of their high school years, they become a Former Ultimate. An Ultimate/Former Ultimate title is kind of like the world's greatest resume builder. Governments, academic institutions, and the Ultimate Organization itself will provide large grants for Former Ultimates to continue their studies and work throughout their lives. 

✣ Ultimate titles are designed to encourage cultural advancement through youth achievement. Ultimates are recognized worldwide as a good thing that needs to be nurtured for societal progress. Having a large number of Ultimates in a country is seen as a positive for the economy, health, human development index, etc. 

✣ There are many luxurious institutions around the world for Ultimates to attend once they receive their title. In these institutions, students are mentored by Former Ultimates along with some of the world’s most respected educators.

✣ Graduating Ultimate students receive a special Ultimate diploma which gives them access to exclusive resources and connections.

✣ Ultimates are openly considered more important than average human beings. This has caused some cultural unrest as of late, with many Ultimates experiencing harassment. There has been an increase in highly private Ultimate boarding schools to avoid problems.

✣ In the past few months, the Ultimate Organization has faced scandal which has brought the turmoil to a peak, and called into question the organization’s ethics.

TEASER THREE : OUT ON THE SHORES

Waves crashed against the sturdy poles of the docks, flowing past to meet the sandy shores behind the two women, sitting on the edge of the boardwalk. The sun set in the distance, a beautiful tapestry of purple and pink illuminating the sky. “Mm. . . [JHOHFH], did you see that invite we got . . .?” The shorter woman spoke, her eyes looking down to the water as she awaited a response. 

“Yeah, why? I just left them on the table. I don’t know if I’m gonna go, don’t you think it's a little weird…?”

“Well!~” She flicks her wrist, “I always say a new opportunity to reach out to our brand would be good.”

“...Brand?”

“. . . Ah. I forgot I’m not doing that anymore,” She immediately freezes up, before sighing, “Well!~ Perhaps it's a nice getaway, hm?”

“I mean… I guess… But– you know how I feel about being around other people nowadays…”

“You could just stick with me!” She smiled at the taller person.

She sighed, glancing over at her companion, “If you’re going… I’ll go I suppose.” “Alrighty, it’s settled then!~” The girl slowly stood up, gently patting off her jacket, “Shall we get going dear? Hmmm?”

“...Yea.”

She couldn’t shake the thought that something was off about this situation, but she didn’t want to leave her only remaining friend behind. She stood up, following her companion off the docks.

TEASER TWO : LAID OUT CARDS

The first thing I remember is waking up. I remember seeing all three of them. Singing, smiling, laughing.

Their names are something I can barely remember. Zhang Wei. Qing Yuan. Ling-Jiao. I remember how much they cared about each other. How much I felt left out. Alone. Afraid. How they all cared for each other. How they’d hold random alcohol bottles Zhang stole in his fights and would drink. Drink like we weren’t poor. We weren’t afraid. I miss it. ”Gh. . .” Her head pulsed, another hangover that managed to push and pulse her mind without any sort of recollection otherwise. She hated it. She had dug herself so much of a hole that she couldn’t get out. Her body managed to push forward, slugging itself up from where she slept, aches not seeming to be enough to keep her off her feet. Her eyes narrowed, looking up to the board she had concocted. How her eyes lingered over every person. Everything. Her lip twitched ever so lightly, eyebrow threading as her head hurt. You can’t even figure out a simple case, huh? Can you detective? She evidently sighed, trying to keep her mind off the aching that had kept her turning for so long. That kept the clock working for so long. Gears that kept trying to figure out everything. No wonder they don’t know you. They’ll never know you, Huang. She wished she could push through the words she had heard so many times. The knocks on the doors. The windows closing and opening. Her brother’s reflection in the mirror.

She could at least solve this, right?

. . . No wonder she was a former detective.

Tap. Tap. Tap. Heavy footsteps echoed through the hallway— not that the detective herself precisely heard them, but she could at least tell they were there. A dull knock came to the doorframe, with the detective’s head turning around, her gaze trying to linger on who it was. . . .

TEASER ONE : TEARS TO ASHES

The silence within the white walls of the hospital room felt suffocating. Even during visiting hours, [NTNPCZ] was left with nothing but the nurses and the occasional beep of the monitor for company. Loneliness was a feeling he was used to… but with the cold atmosphere of the room and the feeling of fear left by accident, he didn’t want to be alone.

But alas, it wasn’t like there was anyone who’d want to talk to him anyways.

He pressed a hand gently against the gauze that covered half of his face.

”I’m sorry, [NTNPCZ]- but I highly doubt you’ll ever be able to use your left eye again. It was burned badly in the accident…” He’d have to get used to his perception of the world being cut in half, it seems.

The curtains rustled from the breeze of the open window. . . . . . …Wait a moment– the windows aren’t open… are they? He glanced at the window, closed tight as it had been for days. …?

A hand wrapped itself around the curtain, tugging it to the side as a shadowy figure stepped out from behind it, strong in it’s presence– and yet, barely visible at all. It stared at him with a pair of wide, hollow eyes void of any emotion or recognition. If the bandages weren’t wrapped around his mouth, he likely would have screamed.

”Do you feel sorry?” …what?

”Do you feel sorry for your sins?” ”Apologize.” . . .

”Apologize.”

— As of recent, the news has been rather unfortunate- especially for someone with the same prestige as you. People who hold titles granted by Hope’s Peak from around the world have been going missing, and in rather disturbing circumstances. At parties, on the street… Sometimes, right from their own homes. The only thing that remains the same about each crime scene is the calling card the kidnappers leave: A playing card. Because of this, the police have named this group ‘The Wild Aces’. Best to keep a lookout, no?

♧ : 𝐁𝐀𝐃 𝐁𝐄𝐀𝐓!

— Despite your best efforts, nobody can ever be too sure of their safety… Whether you were greeted by a knock at your window, or the sudden lock of a door behind you… You found a wild ace in your hand and woke up at an extravagant— yet mysterious— casino, quickly finding the others you saw before on the news, having been reported missing by Hope’s Peak. It seems you’re joining them as well.
