TEASER THREE : OUT ON THE SHORES
Waves crashed against the sturdy poles of the docks, flowing past to meet the sandy shores behind the two women, sitting on the edge of the boardwalk. The sun set in the distance, a beautiful tapestry of purple and pink illuminating the sky. “Mm. . . [JHOHFH], did you see that invite we got . . .?” The shorter woman spoke, her eyes looking down to the water as she awaited a response.
“Yeah, why? I just left them on the table. I don’t know if I’m gonna go, don’t you think it's a little weird…?”
“Well!~” She flicks her wrist, “I always say a new opportunity to reach out to our brand would be good.”
“...Brand?”
“. . . Ah. I forgot I’m not doing that anymore,” She immediately freezes up, before sighing, “Well!~ Perhaps it's a nice getaway, hm?”
“I mean… I guess… But– you know how I feel about being around other people nowadays…”
“You could just stick with me!” She smiled at the taller person.
She sighed, glancing over at her companion, “If you’re going… I’ll go I suppose.” “Alrighty, it’s settled then!~” The girl slowly stood up, gently patting off her jacket, “Shall we get going dear? Hmmm?”
“...Yea.”
She couldn’t shake the thought that something was off about this situation, but she didn’t want to leave her only remaining friend behind. She stood up, following her companion off the docks.
