Someones been making these awful spinoff DR wikipedia pages using google translated interviews as a source, meanwhile our translations our sitting n our tumblrs like ??? Read the actual source material please. Whats worse is i go to correct them and they just revert it. Im so over it, we are gonna make a video about it too. What should we do? How do we get these people that never even looked at DR before to actually read them for the correct information. im so sad rn. our hard work is worthless.
I'm sorry, what is happening?
Edit: I'm neck-deep in work cause it's busy season, so this entire situation sounds so strange and alien to me; I'm genuinely being an out-of-touch old lady here in that I seriously lack the time and energy to follow fandom discourse right now.
Here's my thoughts in general:
Machine translation has serious limitations, so don't rely on it too heavily, and translation is not a one-to-one art so there's no One True Most Correct Version. Every translation you read has been filtered through the translator's interpretation of the text (including my own), so always keep that in mind!
Happy birthday dude! How was it? Do anything interesting?
Thanks. I’ve been in Nikko the past few days relaxing in nature.
Who made the DanganDiscover songs? I really love them especially (Older). Will you make a full song out of them as well? Sorry if anyone already asked this. Good luck with your game!
Heya!! I’ll be honest, had no idea Teshis had those music files in the Demos ahaha, but sure enough they’re like Right There to listen to.
All original music for the game has thus far been created by @putonthespotYou may recognize him as the voice of Yuuto as well as by his youtube channel 4-Piano OrchestraHe did the piano cover we use for the opening menu! Super talented and cool dude!!!
Currently those songs are intended to be on the shorter side of things, for particular moments, so the chances of a longer version isn’t super likely, but who knows! The occasion might arise later on.
Bruh i want that ebiten suisei nanamura figure. and all the other drk/dr0 figures they are releasing
They’re thankfully the cheapest of the bunch!
Here’s the link, since someone asked for it. While Ebiten itself doesn’t ship overseas, there is an international store iirc.

DRK7 obi reveal, does it say anything important?
God, I had to download and re-add this image because goddamn was it being a pain in the butt.
Okay, so!
Normally the obi doesn’t actually have anything really worth talking about, and mostly that holds true here...except for one part.
Let’s see if you guys can spot it.
Real Deal Dangan Ronpa!!
Don’t over look this shocking final volume!
Kirigiri Kyouko’s ultimate enemy is herself?!
From the “Master of Physics Tricks” Kitayama comes a true mystery that shows off his skills!
Okay so.
Let’s talk about my interpretation of Kirigiri’s character, and her arc throughout the DR series.
My understanding of Kirigiri is that she’s so focused on finding the truth and solving the mystery in front of her, that she sometimes will do questionable or downright immoral things to get to it. This includes her own hyperactive sense of self-preservation, which she rationalizes as her needing to be around to solve the mystery, since no one else will be able to.
We see evidence of this in the original game, with her perfectly happy to throw Naegi under the bus in Chapter 5 to try and trap Junko, and it’s why she should have really stayed dead in DR3, since that would have been a poetic end to her arc, with her sacrificing herself for the greater good instead of pushing it on someone else if for no other reason than she can’t trust them to find the truth without her.
This was much more prevalent in the first volume, but there was time in DRK put into drawing some parallels between Samidare and Naegi, and I believe it’s implied that the reason Kirigiri bothers to help Naegi in the original game is because he pings something in her memory that reminds her of Samidare.
Because I think she carries a lot of guilt about how Samidare died.
(This seems to be indicated in Kirigiri Sou as well, in a few key scenes I have screenshots of somewhere.)
Because I think Samidare’s death is her fault.
I think this final volume of DRK will show off that Samidare’s fate and Kirigiri’s burns are the direct result of her sacrificing Samidare to take Shinsen down. I think that just like Naegi in Chapter 5, Samidare will go willingly, and Kirigiri will feel awful about it.
And I. cannot. wait.
Hi, i have a question about Mizuiyama from DRKs name. You translate it as Sara, but ive seen other places translate it as Sachi? Do you know why or whats going on there?
Given that I haven’t actually looked at the furigana for her name since like Book 3, it’s definitely possible that I just rolled over it and misread it. Furigana in the books is pretty small and her first name comes up rarely, so I definitely can’t say I didn’t read ち as ら and trundled along. The kanji suggests Sachi, but you never know in DR.
I’ll check when I get home!
That hand burning fakeout in DRK1 is going to be paralleled so hard in DRK7 mark my words. Im so excited for it. i now it is a lot to ask but i would love to see another summary soon (i need to do mine as well for drt3 ive been slacking off) Thanks as always! -seiko
I’m gonna try to get the next summary for DRK5 out this weekend, actually.
I am ready for zetsuboughetti.
