Cool guys.
Their friendship power is simply unmatched.
These might be some of my best Jorges yet.
Thinking together.
Thinking together.
Twitter things.
Finally read The Remains of the Day! Very good, and I can now fully appreciate why Maijo named the Motorizes after that book's characters, the influence is palpable. The conversations between Jorge and Darlington have a similar vibe as some of the ones between Mr. Stevens and Miss Kenton
one of the best things a character can be is suicidal. another best thing a character can be is an animal stuck in a trap gnawing its leg off to escape. a third best thing a character can be is alive but having died by symbolic or metaphorical suicide which they were driven to by trying to escape a trap like an animal gnawing its leg off
The quintessential Maijo experience is watching the narrator start having doubts in what they're doing only to immediately double down on their unhealthy patterns and you just want to scream and reach through the page to shake them
girls night! *gets horribly lost in the labyrinthine catacombs beneath the city and chased by creatures and beings*
Once you’ve read Jorge Joestar, you can never go back.
If there's one thing I don't like about the Polish translation, it's them calling Kars's head covering a hood (kaptur). My best guess is that the translator perceived it like one of those hood-scarf combos like on the right, which you could call a kaptur?
I am now haunted by the vision of Kars dramatically removing his turban but it comes off as a single solid piece
They also completely cut out the part where he took it off *and displayed his antennas/horns* (or even in order to display his antennas). It's just "I took off my hood in preparation for our fight". Did they run out of space in the speech bubble or what
Love this stupid panel. Kars's wacky headgear. Wamuu practically on top of him. Esidisi is ascending
Esidisi is still ascending in volume 5 so for all we know this was fully intended and Esidisi really just sleeps like that
Guy who stands around Jorge.
"Five altogether, only [adult] men!"
--preserving the often missed implication that Kars checked for women and children in the room before killing the soldiers.
When you're about to kill Jojo and he pulls off some icicle bullshit
