If they do not like them upon its initial posting, your post dies right there because the platform will not waste its time exposing your post to the larger masses, or your supporters/followers that actually do like you post...(sounds similar to the music industry), so we cant get too angry at our supposed supporters/followers because a lot of the time they dont even get the opportunity to see your post... Its recommended to mention/tag at least 10 people on your post to like quickly in order to secure exposure, vs going in the trash.
