Koala spotting drones prove to be a flying success
Research scientists from QUT are using drones and a special algorithm to detect Koala Bear heat signatures in the dense Australia bush. The tech helps them to count Koalas. This innovative method for monitoring the population of Koala Bears using a drone equipped with infrared imaging is proving to be more reliable and less invasive than traditional animal population monitoring techniques used by wildlife rangers and humans.
