Mana growing ficlet – baby to teen – 759 words
Splinter moved the bead curtean to his youngest’s room, stepping into the colourful and paint covered room. A wandering glance told him that Haru sat in the little alcove made by the window seat, late afternoon sunlight covering them, their sleeping charge, and pumpkin in warm honey-gold sunlight.
Haru was bottle-feeding* the little one, Pumpkin laying next to them with a head on the young turtles lap as Mana drank. Haru didn’t look up, but hummed when Splinter stepped closer.
*How is he?* Splinter asked, kneeling next to his kid and the cat like animals.
*Eating.* Haru shrugged, small frown on their face.
Splinter raised an eyebrow, trying to prompt a more in depth response.
Haru sad nothing for many minuets, and only spoke once Mana had fished with the bottle. Pumpkin took over at that point, scuffing Mana and grooming the provably-kittens face.
*All he dose is eat and sleep.* Haru lamented, and Splinter had the sudden retaliation that Haru was very much still a child.
A child who had never seen another being born or hatched before. Nor had he or the twins. But he know how things would go, he had raised several kids, one from near birth.
*And that is all he will do, for a few weeks at minimum.* Splinter spoke gently, watching pumpkin groom the kitten half her size. *Babies need a long time to get big enough to start playing, or even walking.*
Haru sniffed. *So I have to wait?*
Splinter nodded, standing up to wipe their tears from their cheeks and kissing his kids forehead.
Haru sniffed again, nodded and wiggled away from Pumpkin and Mana.
*Ok.* Haru chirped, following Splinter out to dinner.
*Kitten formula mixed with a little goats milk – added for assumed size of the grown form (Irl kittens should not have any milk beyond what comes from their mothers/nursing cats, but this is fantasy so we can play around)

April propped the box of paper on her hip, opening the door to the farmhouse with a now freed hand. She shuffled forward, keeping the door from slamming with her foot and shuffling the box back into a two handed hold.
Her siblings where spread around the living room, Haru and Sky quietly arguing over something and Violet purched on a sleeping Onix, doing something on their computer.
Violet caught sight of her and mimed being quiet, pointing down at a bundle on the beanbag next to Haru.
April nodded, dropping her box and her school bag on the couch, before calming the beanbag next to sky. Sky gave her a wave, still arguing with Haru. Haru grinned at her, but fought against Sky.
She looked over at the sleeping bundle, taking out her phone to rake photos as she caught sight of all the cat or cat adjacent animals in one big blob.
Mana was in the middle, Pumpkin and Terra tightly wound around the strange critter. Obsidian and Jellybean where more spread out, on sprawled on her back and the other laying over his brother.
April took about three dozen photo of the pile.

Sky watched Haru balance on Onixs shoulders, hands locked loosely around their sisters neck. Onix was feeding cupid and Mana at the same time. Both where eating quickly, Mana needing the air and Cupid fluttering bald wings.
It was kind of cute to watch the babies of the family flock to the eldest sibling. Well, Cupid was still a farm animal, but the lamb was being hand reared so. She counted. Mana too, the cat (probably a cat, who knew though) might get to big to be a house pet, but might also stay small enough. Who knew.
Donnie was the one running DNA to try and find a match. He would half to ask for an update later.
For now though, Sky raised his camera and snapped a photo, letting the seine be the first photo on this roll of film.

Violet stopped short of reaching for a pepper, the literal baby in the house napping under the plant. Its dark fur glittered like an oil spill in the dappled sunlight, just like the dark feathered corvids that lived in town.
The comets of dark reds and bright yellows shone like sun-spots, its horns and fluffy cheeks actually glowing.
Violet grabbed some of the trimmed plant matter from earlier, nothing rotten or bug eaten, and helped buster a nest around the little thing. It didn’t look the prettiest, but it should help the lil thing keep warm.
Once that was done, Violet reached for the pepper and cut it from its vine.

Ok anyway- hope this is a valid prompt to grow Mana up a lil!
As days turn into weeks, the hatchling well-fed and cared for, he steadily begins to grow. His eyes open, ears perking slightly, his wobbly steps on new legs grow more and more sure.
It's not long before he's racing around, chasing lights across the floor and pouncing on wayward leaves.

What a handsome young man! Looks like a bit of a mane starting to grow in maybe? And look at the shine to his horns and 'wings' - He seems to be doing very well!
