Magnetic Balls: Ball Drop Tutorial (Fun)
Christmas in New York
I had a dream for a long time...
I traveled alone before but this idea to fly across America to spend a week in this city during Christmas time was scary but also the biggest dream of my life at that time. At first I was supposed to go with somebody a barely knew and somehow ours ideas where to stay and how much we our going to spend and who pays for this and that got hard to figure those things out. So we went separate ways. I got scared for a second if I can make this work just on my own, I took a deep breath and started working on it. I booked a standard cabin for over 800$, which was really good price for what I was willing to pay for. I probably could find a cheaper motel somewhere out of the city but I truly wanted to be in the city so I went for this. This turned to be one of the greatest experiences. 50 feet square cabin, tiny bed where I had a problem to fall asleep but the room was absolutely charming and every piece of the equipment what was there has the smell of New York.
I truly didn’t have a plan what I am going to do, see or anything. Only thing I did was booking a city pass for five days. My idea was just walk and walk through and around the city, explore every street, every building and more. From the first time I completely felt, that this is the dream I was dreaming for a long time. My first morning coffee in NY, my first experience with NY pizza, I went to a lot of the famous places as everyone do as a Times Square, Wall Street, National September 11 Memorial, Battery Park and others. I was blown up with Museum of Natural History, that was something I have not seen before.
Second thing when I acrossed the Brooklyn Bridge and headed to the Brooklyn Bridge Park. After a while waiting for a water taxi when nobody showed up I decide to use the subway but instead to head back to Manhattan I took a short detour and ended somewhere in middle of Long Island I assume. In the background you can see the small tower Ground Zero that shows how far I was.
Experience New Year’s Eve in New York City is something really incredible that I am truly grateful from the deepest of my heart. Sometimes the biggest dream can be scary to reach but don’t give a damn what’s in front of you and put yourself out there, Probably if somebody have told me that couple years back this dream could come true I would call him crazy.
