@misterartist‘s Rylde, the drow construct
365-2018: #78 (March 19) The Drow With The Pine Cone Crown Because the name Orenthal means Pine. It’s not that deep. Made more sense than flowers. Remind me never to do this face angle again, toohard.jpg whydidimakemyselfsuffer.avi
2 and 25 for Bhin, 5, 31 and 36 for Orenthal, 17 and 39 for Anton
Bhindrin:
2. Does your OC collect anything? What do they collect?
Ribbons. In an rp he loved a human woman who protected him with magical ribbons tied around his wrist, from things called dream walkers. She was a client, so he was being paid to protect her too, but it became more than a job. Unfortunately he failed in his task, and the woman was lost in the dream realm… he escaped. All he had left was the ribbon she had given him.
25.What inspired you to create them / how did you create them? Were they originally a fancharacter? What was their personality / design like when you first made them?He simply came to me mostly fully formed, as with all my characters I like and continue on with. If I sit down and try to force a character out, they often turn out tropey and crap. Not that he isn’t full of tropes, but Bhindrin’s personality isn’t solely based around them. Originally Bhin was a bit more brooding and silent, through rp it became clear how soft he was inside…not great for a drow who’s job it is to steal, infiltrate and sometimes murder. No wonder he fails at times…But I enjoy that in a character; fallibility, vulnerability. It’s interesting to explore to me.
Orenthal:
5. What is your OC’s first memory?Complex, as he has memories hidden and memories he’s conscious of. Without triggers of those subconscious memories, usually his first memory is stabbing a man to death with a screw driver…you really should not befriend him. But he has an opposing memory, of protecting someone until he was destroyed. He has no access to that memory currently though. 31. What is their most traumatic memory/experience? What is their favorite memory? He can’t remember any of those truly, those memories are hidden in his programming. Currently bad?: He has a vague feeling about Ailanthus and a sickness in his “stomach” except that’s actually where his mind is…Positive? When he met a really nice box and patted it and when Nyloth showed him how to say hello to random inanimate objects.
36. What does your character want most? What do they need really badly, compulsively? What are they willing to do, to sacrifice, to obtain?To be free of his metal body, or at least free to recall who and what he originally was before his spirit became housed in it. He badly yearns to protect, as is is his True Purpose™️, not to be the destroyer he is programmed to be. He will kill everything he has to to obtain this…ironically? Later on, as his programming gets stricter his main goal is to protect and keep Nyloth close. Anyone harming Nyloth with be dealt with. Anyone hindering the goals of safe and close will be….double dealt with.
Antonimyr:
17. How do they make a living? What kind of job do they want / not want? What is their dream job? What do they think of their current job?
In the Underdark (he had many jobs but this post is too long) he was the house wizard of matron Olorinil. She paid many of his expenses. After his talents became clear people came to him for advice about dead people. “Can I speak to my loved one, one last time.” To which he said “No,” sternly until they offered him something interesting like knowledge or secrets. His dream job is to be some sort of private investigator necromancer. “Who killed this man?””No problem, let me ask him!” His deeper desire is to be a cleric/healer, and in fact he was a “Doctor” for a short time, in the way that only a necromancer can be… When he tried to pursue healing and cleric stuff he was told only females of his kind could be clerics and that he should pursue what his mother and the queen had chosen for him (necromancy), based on his childhood abilities of draining the life force out of things when he got terrified… An ability he later lost in adulthood.That is not to say he doesn’t like necromancy, he finds it fascinating, but he is a very peculiar necromancer who is squeamish and a clean freak.
39. What is in your characters refrigerator right now? On their bedroom floor? Nightstand? Garbage can?Fridge: Deer meat that @misterartist‘s Karath’ractus caught and flayed. Bedroom floor: NOTHING. HIS BEDROOM FLOOR IS SPOTLESS AND SQUEAKY CLEAN AND COULD BE EATEN OFF BECAUSE HE LIKELY CLEANED IT 10 TIMES A DAY.Night stand: A book or two and an oil lamp, he’s rather neat so he doesn’t leave many things laying about. Garbage can: His morality. Nah, not since a certain ‘mancer has been helping him. Probably not much…he would obsessively empty it if there were anything too organic…because ew and he REQUIRES CLEAN.
Inktober #5: Nyloth/A2.2
Nyloth belongs to @leidensygdom
Beep boop, have some cute.
Something I did two weeks ago for @leidensygdom‘s birthday. It’s her drow android Nyloth/A2.2. I always envision him as a child even though he’s built to replace Ailanthus. The text in the background is references to things that have happened in rps with Nyloth :P
