DRAGONS RISING SEASON 4 PART 2 TRAILER SPOILERS:

Look, normally I would not be buying the copium that a random blurry minifig in the never realm might be akita. I know better than to get my hopes up like that. The design is different, the coloring looks like a fox, the ears are a little sharper, there's decent evidence this could be someone else. BUT--

the four tails. Extremely weird choice to give us another formling companion with four tails, especially if you're going to have a similar black bob for hair, it's just pointlessly similar. Too similar.

The leaked (and pretty legit seeming based on the trailer) descriptions have the ninja running into 'old friends' in the never realm.

If it weren't for these two factors I would 100% be on board with the analysis that this is some new fox formling, but given that any returning characters are usually accompanied by a redesign in this show, there has been plenty of time and world changes big enough for Akita to gain a new role/get new abilities to justify any changes in appearance, and the the writers' specific fondness for Akita as a character, I'm putting the odds in favor of this being Akita. I just don't see the show inventing a new character that fills a similar role as Akita, stealing her look almost entirely, and then having the ninja come across different old ally characters in the Never Realm. Part one proved the show is willing to give us plenty of fanservice this far in, and gave a nod to Lloyd's love life, I don't know why they would draw the line here. I'm not saying I'm 100% confident, but I am saying anyone claiming the answer is obvious here is kidding themselves.

It's a short black hair, four tailed, pointy eared, formling companion to the ninja who evidentially prefers to walk on her own, in the never realm plot with lloyd, one which apparently includes the ninja running into old friends. If the couple of pixels we have didn't look kind of orange, I don't think this would even be a question.
