𝗠𝗬 𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗜𝗘𝗪 This introductory guide to class and how it affects our social structures, is brilliantly illustrated by award winning illustrator and writer Danny Noble. Dr Laura Harvey and Dr Sarah Leaney, both sociologists at the University of Brighton, take us through a summary of class and how out affects our every day lives, from social standing to employment and housing. I found it to be most informative in areas I either didn’t know or had all but forgotten about. While it is in no way a definitive examination of class, it is a great introduction for anyone interested in the subject. The different aspects of class were nearly separated into their own chapters which were easy to follow. The illustrations added to the points made in the text, offering a visual repentance of each topic. To be honest I enjoyed reading this book, although it should be said that you don’t need to read it in one sitting. It is perfect for dipping in and out of, in any order you choose. Overall, I would recommend this to everyone because there are many effects of class that we are blind to.
