Ohhh man, I’m super sorry for how late this is! ;v; Secret Santa for @minteaowo! I really hope you like it. I had a really bad artist block and kept having to try different things. I also think this is the first time I’ve drawn Gundam and Souda.

Edit: Urgh, I just noticed the weird outline around the white. If you want me to make another copy with that gone, please let me know. I don’t know if it bothers you.

Hello there! This is a gift I wrote for @ancientrelyk in place of their Secret Santa for @drsecretsanta2016! I wrote you some cute NaeHiro for you! It’s my first time writing a Oneshot for this pair, so I apologize if it isn’t the best, but I still hope you enjoy it, it was so much fun to write!! I hope you have a wonderful day/night!

Title: New Year’s Eve Together’

Pairing: NaeHiro (Makoto Naegi x Chihiro Fujisaki)

Fandom: Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc

Summary: For the last few minutes before the year ends, Naegi spends them with someone pretty special to him.

The streets around me were as busy as ever, buzzing with life at every visible corner. Pretty understandable, it was New Year's Eve after all, and people were all in a rush to be able to see the fireworks that would show up at midnight. Making sure to stay away from the moving crowd, I stood against the wall as I waited for someone in particular to show up. Readjusting the scarf around my neck, I looked down at my phone for the time.

11:38 p.m. I sighed, looking back up once again. “Where could he be?” I wondered worryingly. “He’s never been late before, maybe I need to move to somewhere more visible…”

“Naegi-kun!” I heard the familiar voice that made my heart beat just a bit faster call out my name, and soon I saw a small figure approach me. Smiling, I opened my arms wide and instantly felt the warmth of Fujisaki’s body against mine. But with the embrace, I managed to notice Fujisaki’s trying to regain his breath, almost as if he had been running.

“I-I apologize Naegi-kun!” Fujisaki said as he pulled away from the hug at last. “I-I didn't mean to be late, I wanted to get something for us both…” I simply smiled and gave him a small kiss on his cheek. “It's ok Chihiro, we still have plenty of time to make it to the park.” With that, he flashed a smile of relief and joy that managed to make my heart melt at the sight of. “What did you get anyway?”

“Oh! Um, well, there's been this bakery that I pass by often and it has so many sweets up front, that I had to try and get something for us.” He looked through the bag in his hand, finally pulling out what looked to be sweet buns. “Although, the store was incredibly full, which is why I arrived late…”

Fujisaki handed me the sweet bun, still warm despite the freezing weather, and my eyes instantly lit up. “S-seriously? Thank you Chihiro! You didn't have to wait for so long to get us something like this.” I gave him a smile of gratefulness, and he gave me one back. Grabbing ahold of his hand, we made our way through the busy crowned to the perfect spot to see the fireworks; the park.

By the time we found a nice spot to stand in, both of our sweet buns have been completely eaten, the last of what remained of them was given to a few pigeons still lurking around for dropped food.

We stood closely near each other, as I was able to feel the warmth and security of having Fujisaki right next to me. Quickly taking out my phone, I glanced at the time. “11:55!” I said, a hint of excitement in my voice. Fujisaki smile widened a bit as he looked around the park full of people, the lights that decorated the park shining in his greenish-brownish eyes.

“It's been an interesting year, hasn't it Naegi-kun?” He asked, looking at me once more and squeezing his hand a bit. I couldn't help but smiled back at the year. Not much had happened to me on my part of the year, although Fujisaki had quite the successful year, as he’s talent at programming had managed to get him an award, and that was enough to make my entire year perfect. “Yeah, it's been a pretty nice year, and I'm sure this upcoming one will be even better!” I optimistically said, causing Fujisaki to giggle next to him. “S-sorry, was that a bit too cheesy?” I laughed embarrassingly. Fujisaki stop his giggling, and shook his head. “No no! It just makes me happy to see you optimistic about everything,” he said, “it makes even the most despairing of situation seem not so bad, and that's always nice.”

“O-oh really?” I couldn't help but stutter; even though people always told me these exact same words constantly but hearing it come from Fujisaki just made me feel… more special, in a way. “Well, if it weren't for you and your cheeriness, I'm sure I wouldn't be as hopeful as I am.”

“Really?” Fujisaki asked, his eyes glistening and another small smile forming on his lips again, as the people around us began the countdown.

“11! 10! 9! 8!”

Taking both of Fujisaki’s hands, I smiled back, holding on to them tightly and firmly, never wanted to let them go. “Yes really, I love you, Chihiro.”

“7! 6! 5! 4!”

He blushed profusely at my words, and he buried his head into my chest. “I-I love you too Naegi-kun, with all of my heart…”

“3! 2! 1!”

I smiled to myself, filled with happiness. “Yeah, me too.”

“HAPPY NEW YEAR!”

The crowded around us ruptured into cheers, confetti being thrown everywhere and the fireworks being shot off into the sky in a multitude of pretty colors. But despite all that, I stood in the same spot and same position as I held Fujisaki close by me, enjoy our own little world as the rest of the world celebrated around us.

I really am lucky, aren't I?

An update

So, as some of you may have noticed, you haven’t received your gifts yet.

This is an issue that I’m aware of, and am trying to fix.

I have contacted the participants who haven’t submitted their gifts yet, and will assign pinch-hitters where necessary.

If you marked on your entry form that you’d be willing to be a pinch-hitter for us, we may contact you!

Our goal at this point is to tie up all the loose ends, and make sure everyone who has participated receives a gift in return.
