Ok guys, im sure ive made my love of druids /very clear/ and I just wanna address druid!aus (where a character is switched around to be a druid.. Theres alot of lance ones). I love that people seem to like these birbs enough to make aus with them.. But can we start making them more accurate? Like.. I know "its an au! So you dont have to be accurate!!" But.. It makes me really disapointed to see druid!lance in haggars robe and not even having a mask? Or druid!whoever in haggars robe but with a mask... Like.. I have yet to see a druid au where the character is acctually in a druid robe (that i didnt participate in making btw) . Tl;dr I just love the druids so much, can we please acknowledge they have a specific robe and mask instead of dressing them like haggar?

Drabble or the team has to get used to shiro being in love with a druid!Keith:

There's nothing innocent about him, not in his sure grip on his bayard and definitely not in his eyes.

Shiro thinks he likes that. He likes the rough edges and broken pieces that make Keith, it doesn't matter if they don't like him.

Shiro loves him and Keith loves shiro. That's it. It's just them. And no one else.

Shiro scowls while everyone walks on eggshells around Keith, they aren't even doing a good job at pretending that they aren't.

Pinching the bridge of his nose he watches Lance struggle through a conversation with Keith. He understands the uneasiness, he'd never expect them to immediately warm up to him.

But they don't have to treat him different because he is different. Shiro can't help but feel a bit upset that he, who has more than enough reasons to hate druids, is the one trying to get his team to stop being so stiff around Keith.

Grumbling shiro watches Keith attempt to appear has non threatening has possible while Lance does his best to appear bigger.

Shiro was not in the mood for these antics and he definitely wasn't in the mood for allura's reaction to seeing Keith and Lance so close.

A random thought came to me last night when I accidentally got sucked into druid!Keith hell.

Okay, so Keith gets separated from the others, finds out about his heritage, blah blah blah. When he gets back, he at first tries to stay away from the others, but eventually all of them are bugging him/getting concerned, so eventually he asks everyone to gather into a large room and says he found something out about himself and while he understands that they’ll hate him for it, it would be nice if they didn’t kill him. They all dispute this, saying that there’s no way they could ever hate them when a piercing golden light erupts from his eyes.

He closes them, and begins to levitate slightly, as if in a trance of some sort. His arms and legs seem to move on their own ever so slightly as they change and slightly lengthen. His hear floats in an unseen wind as it changes color and ears pop out of it, although it would probably look better if he brushed it more often.

Then it’s over. He drops back down to the ground unceremoniously, his eyes now only glowing as much as any other Galra’s. He opens them, and he cant tell if the sight of his horrified friends is blurred because of his odd eyesight or because he’s trying desperately not to cry.

Except, there are two who don’t look horrified. Coran is rolling his eyes because he already knew and Alteans aren’t nearly as flashy in transformation. And Pidge is, if anything, the opposite of horrified.

Her crush close friend is a magical girl boy.

Druid Keith Theory

To begin the first thing I think is that anyone with a high quintessence awarness level could be a druid. Like. Allura and the balmerans are able to use quintessence (life force basically) but not in too big ways expect Allura but that took a lot out of her. Now looking at Keith he knew where the Blue lion were even if it wasn't his, "he felt a pull" just like he was the only one who found their lion by reaching out for her (i'm referring to the lions as her cause they are actually lionesses) and that lion moved to save him on her own. And the part with the quintessence when he fights the druid? Yeah, I don't think it was JUST curiosity that led him there, I think he felt the need, the "pull" to know what that is. Now I'm not saying he can't be galra or altean, it would make even more sense if he was part alien or half galra + half altean because it seems like they have a high awarness of guintessence. All in all. I'm talking nonesense, but I wanted to get it out here before someone else does.
