Drunken Woes | Soo & Mino

Listening to the dial tone through the phone, the man brought his right hand to his face where he pinched the bridge of his nose. Tiring. This whole ordeal was oh so tiring. Praying to each and every god in this town for the person on the other side of the line to pick up, a wave of relief washed over him when finally the dial tone stopped. “Yes? Hello?” he said, hopeful. “Am I speaking with ‘Red-Eyed Dude from the flower shop aka Kyungsoo?” Leaving a pause so the person who went by the name Kyungsoo could answer, he let go of his nose and looked at the drunk guy seated at his bar.
“I’ve got a friend of yours at my bar. He’s too drunk to get his sorry ass back home. Can you come and pick him up?” It wasn’t the first time that he had to call people in the dead of the night with this request. Things like this tended to happen more often than someone might think. Calling people up for it honestly wasn’t the hardest part. The hardest parts were first obtaining the phone and passcode or a phone number from the drunk person and when that was out of the way he had to convince the person on the other side of the line to come and pick their friend up. “He had enough cash on him to pay his debt. So you honestly only have to come and pick him up. I’m gonna close in half an hour.” The dude -he thought his name was Mino- had been too drunk to tell him who he had to call. So after a long time of trying to obtain Mino’s phone, since the drunk gave him the wrong things time and time again, he had been lucky enough that the guy had a ‘missed call’. ¨Pressing on it got the phone to instantly dial the ‘Red-eyed Dude from the flower shop aka Kyungsoo’.
“Great. I’ll see ya coming then.” Only hanging up after telling Kyungsoo where his bar was situated at, the bartender heaved a deep sigh before he headed back to the drunkard at his counter. It was going to be difficult to try and explain to Mino that someone was coming over to come and pick him up.
