i've recently hit a really rough patch with my mental health and i stopped singing so much. i would constantly be singing before, but now my C6 sounds wrong and screechy and i used to be able to put a little bit of vibrato on it despite not being trained. i used to be able to hit a D6 and at a push an E6 and now i feel like my range has reduced and it's knocked my confidence and my mental health even more. do you have any exercises for strengthening my upper range again? i at least want my C6 :(
You can’t push those notes. The very act of trying to push them out when your voice is not as strong is only going to make things harder and will put you at risk for vocal damage. Those notes need immense support, relaxation, and control in order to sing them safely, and as you can imagine, straining to get to them is the exact opposite of those three things. So you’ve got to relax and work your way up slowly. Patience is so key, and the moment you start to get frustrated, stop. It will not serve you to push through frustration!

i don’t think i joined persay
i was drinking sitting at the bar and all of a sudden i heard some very loud declarations going on and the leader seemed pretty enticing informative, so i listened. then, without fail every week they would show up and i just happened to be there. considering i get along with most them, i joined up.
the spirited discussions are fun.
Drink With Me Weekly
week 1
so you've stumbled upon what i hope to be a regular installation on this blog, after all i was told to add in some more personal elements.
and what could be more personal than sharing one of my favorite hobbies which happens to be drinking?
so here's the basic principal low down of 'drink with me'. basically i'll be drinking a beverage of alcoholic nature and everyone is free to ask me questions as i become what i hope to be less sober. i will be giving updates on sobriety as well. if anyone has any suggestions as to what drink i should try next week, don't hesitate to message me about it, i'm pretty adventurous.
this week the alcohol is Redd's Apple Ale which is a hard cider
the fact that it's using the color red should be seen as purely coincidental
