I took more time to make this with much more effort (which I didn't for the first prompt, let's say i was just a bit excited lol).

First of all, you had hypothermia and frostbite??? Ngl I'm a little bit concerned about you now.

Second of all, you are very right about Quackity not having a great time as they try to get him warm. I'm thinking of going for moderate rather than severe hypothermia (or somewhere on the verge of it) and for a frostnip/superficial frostbite in area like feet (since he probably had no shoes on) so there's not really a permanent damange but it certainly hurts like hell at first (or in case I go for the early frostbite it hurts for longer). A part of me is like they have potions, none of this (forstibe) is really a problem but another part of me wants to keep all potions far, far away from Quackity just so he is miserable and more importantly so Dream has an excuse to keep him in his room (he is recovering clearly, it's not because Dream is re-discovering the wonders of cuddling at night, nope) ... I have no personal experience though so tips are welcome.

Punz is not happy about that. Like Quackity can stay on the couch, damn even in Punz's room. There is no reason for Dream to have his ex-torturer in his room! And as you said, eh does want to 'save' Dream from having to do all these annoying and unpleasant things. The issue is that Dream doesn't really want to be saved? It's chill, he can preen Quackity's wings, he can keep Quackity warm. Totally not because he likes it or something. He'd never. But also it's fine, he's got it, Punz.

I feel like later, when Punz just actually wants Quackity to come to him when he needs something he just runs into that issue that Quackity very much doesn't want to come to him. Because Punz was considerably more hostile to him at the start (tbf we can't blame Punz for wanting revenge on Dream's behalf). Punz was the one who if Dream wasn't against it, would gladly cut him up with a pair of shears. So, Quackity doesn't feel safe letting Punz anywhere near his wings or anywhere near him for that matter. Which was just fine with Punz until it wasn't. Now he's bothered because he wants to preen Quackity's wings too but even if he does it Quackity isn't relaxed like he's with Dream. It drives Punz mad because he knows he's doing everything right.

Punz being jealous of Q is a great point though! I can totally see him being jealous not only because Quackity has Dream's attention but also because he can bully him into self-care. (aka: he can drape himself all over Dream and whine about being neglected until Dream gives in and takes a break ... somehow it works better than Punz's attemtps but unlike Q, Punz has some dignity so he's not going to do that)

Oh and you're right, Dream having an existencial crisis while Punz is just trying to comprehend how this man, who is currently dramatically pretending to faint on the kitchen floor after finding out that they're out of his favorite snacks, could ever rule a country is very on spot.

Ah I really wanna go get some writing done for some of my Dreamity ideas but I also have so much other writing to do and finals! Damn it ... And yeah this ship needs a name. The only thing I can think of is Drunzity and eh I think I'm going to have to work on it. It doesn't sound good. Ah well, thank you for coming to my ted talk and thanks for the tips (*takes notes furiously*). Perhaps one day I will really write this story :')

Let me tell you; Hypothermia hurts. Frostbite hurts. Frostnip hurts. There is no stage where heating yourself back up doesn't hurt.

I've had it from light redness to my fingers turning purple, and it burns. My father held my hands when I had only frostnip and I ripped my hands from his because their heat burned me. It feels really good to heat up after you're better, but the first contact hurts like hell and there's no way out of that. Quackity would probably cry, try his best to struggle away, hiss a lot like they're pressing hot iron to his skin.

And then he melts in one go. When it stops hurting it all feels so good and he's so cold and he needs Dream and Punz to make it better now.

That's also a good point! Punz went full out on "I will hurt you if you step out of line" when they kidnapped Quackity and 100% went over the top to make sure Q really doesn't try anything, but now Quackity won't be more vulnerable with him and it drives him insane

And about getting Dream to take a break, I don't think its just "Punz has some dignity left", it's more about who they are as people. Quackity has been the jester and the silly guy and he feels comfortable shoving himself in and trying to bluff his way into success. He's a specialist at distractions, so he knows exactly how to get Dream's attention away from work.

Punz is never going to do that, not just because he doesn't have the same set of skill, but because he is killing himself working right beside Dream. He'll try to get Dream to eat, sure, but he understands what Dream means when he says he's almost done, because Punz does the exact same thing.

So Quackity has to pull double duty to get them both off the lab, because if he doesn't get them both at the same time then neither of them will go, using the excuse of "In a bit, when Dream/Punz takes a break to eat I'll eat with him"

Yeahhhh. Dream "are none of us monsters?" VS Punz "What the fuck is wrong with this clown?"

AU where Punz comes with Dream to destroy Las Nevadas instead of Purpled but instead of destroying Las Nevadas they just adopt Quackity into their polycule stray cat style. They can fix him.
