Yowch.
Yeah. Dude, where have you been?!
What house would Sherlock be in? John? Personally, I'd say Sherlock would be classic Ravenclaw. Not quite Slytherin, because he hasn't got that drive towards bypassing people, but rather seems utterly baffled that the rest of the planet doesn't quite get it like he does. The good doctor would likely be a Hufflepuff. That level of loyalty and determination to work hard is classic Hufflepuff. Thoughts?
Ahhh, you have asked a question for the ages here. Hogwarts house sorting headcanons are a source of constant disagreement in pretty much every fandom.
Personally, I agree with you about Sherlock. His primary motivation is usually to know everything about subjects that interest him; not necessarily for any noble reasons, simply for the sake of knowledge. To me, that says Ravenclaw. Also, I feel like Mycroft exemplifies Slytherin, and I feel like eleven year old Sherlock would be contrary enough to ask the Sorting Hat explicitly to not put him in the same house as his brother.
I see John as a Gryffindor. He's an adrenaline junkie who will often act based on carefully honed instinct first and only consider the ramifications later. Also, unfortunately, a lot of people have slightly skewed views of Hufflepuff; they forget about the loyalty and devotion, and think about it as the "happy lazy house where everyone wears pyjamas and cooks for their friends", (which, btw, would totally be an awesome house but is not the essence of Hufflepuff). I feel like putting John in Hufflepuff often reinforces the "tee hee jam and jumpers" hedgehog-John stereotype, which neglects the true driving forces of his personality.
I think all headcanons are valid though. That's the lovely thing about fiction and fandom. Until JK Rowling sits down and has tea with Gatiss, Moffat, and Thompson, and they bicker it out for themselves, nobody can say "your sorting is wrong".
Hi Oliver! It's your friend Dino. I know you're not a food. FISH-- erm, Snails are friends, not food! I wanted to know how you've been adjusting to the horrible snow that's been pretty rampant as of late.
Hello Dino! We eat a lot of the same things! Fresh veggies are the best.
One of the many perks of being a domesticated, indoor snail is that someone else gets to do all the shovelling and spreading salt on the walkway *shudder*. The inside of my tank is warm and moist and happy!
Happy birthday, Moony! I wish you an end to klutzy moments which end in you going to the hospital. Also, Stomach Issues, because I know how much those suck out loud. Love you very much! xo
Thank you lovely <3

In the same boat. I get anxiety attacks over men who don’t deserve it.
Mine's a delightful combination of work, moving, and boys. *overly dramatic sigh* Once I've moved, things should hopefully settle down some.
