A Second Christmas || Tedromeda
That whole morning was a bit hectic. Andromeda didn't know what to wear or how to do her hair; after a while, she decided that there was no need to fix her hair, her preferred choice was to run her fingers through her hair and keep it natural. After spending a fair amount of time deciding what she was going to do with her hair, Andromeda noticed that she still wasn't dressed. She rummaged through her closet until she found a dress that would fit the day nicely. The dress was covered with white polka dots with a dark red surrounding. The sleeves reached the top of her forearm and made it a little above the knee. She covered her legs with dark pantyhose and wore her favorite pair of dark boots to match.
She kept her window open all morning, waiting for the owl to come in and by 9AM, when it hadn't arrived, Andromeda opted to putting some eyeliner on. Not a lot though - she didn't want to look like a slag in front of his parents; just a respectable amount.
She felt too nervous to eat anything so she just paced back and forth in her room, checking her bag to see if all the presents were still there - which they obviously were. She made sure the morning she got back from Romania to get everything she needed for Ted and his family; she even decided to get Greta something just in case.
Every few minutes, she looked out the window. What if Ted forgot that today was when he was supposed to send the owl? No, that couldn't be it. Of course he would, that would be absurd. But the worrying thoughts kept on coming back and hitting her like waves. Maybe he decided that it was too soon to meet his parents. They hadn't been together for a long while, so of course that was probably why. Then, she heard a small flutter and turned around. A tiny owl appeared by her window, carrying a small letter. Finally. Thank Merlin he didn't forget. Now her stomach could stop turning and the worry inside of her would finally die - except it didn't. She only became more nervous at the thought of finally meeting his family. Guilty at the same time for not telling him about Romania and sad because he wouldn't properly be able to meet hers for a while, if not ever.
She read the letter over and over again, just making sure she got the location right before putting on her coat and getting her purse-like bag on her arm. She concentrated for a minute on the place where Andromeda was supposed to go and in what seemed like a half of a second, she was in a small alley way. Nausea hit her hard and for a minute, Andromeda felt like she was about to throw up and lose her balance before catching herself on a wall and bending over, just to have it all come out- after a few minutes of trying and nothing coming out, she took a few slow breaths and stood up straight.
Just turn right at the corner of the alley and the pub will be there. She started walking ahead, another tight knot forming - but this time it was in her chest. Andromeda started feeling nervous about meeting Ted for the first time in so long, even though in all honesty, there was nothing to worry about. It was all just nerves after all.
Andromeda turned the corner and the first thing she saw was a small pub, the windows were tinted so she couldn't see much inside. The cold from the snow was starting to get to her so she tried to hurry as much as possible to get inside while managing her thoughts at the same time. What would she say to him when she saw him? Andromeda was at a total loss of thought. She came to the front of the pub door and took a deep breath before opening it. When she first looked inside, the pub wasn't all that magnificent; a few people here and there.
Her eyes wandered around the pub for a minute, when she didn't see Ted at the table that they were supposed to meet, she automatically headed for the bar at the back. Almost immediately, Andromeda noticed the only person sitting there. Ted. She felt as if her heart was about to jump out of her chest. He obviously didn't notice her, seeing as he didn't turn around while she was walking over - he seemed to be immersed in a conversation with the man working the bar.
Slowly, Andromeda made her way behind Ted and gently tapped his firm shoulder.
