2015 spielberg race 2 summary

i counted 24 offs by 16 different drivers. holy shit y'all. (see here) (actually please look at the link it's a great race summary all on it's own)

that being said we only had 4 dnfs and 2 happened in the last lap!

which, by the way... controversial. scheider bumped into wickens bumped into wehrlein, getting them both (wickens & wehrlein) out. (see here). scheider's engineer had said to him (translated) "timo, push him out!". scheider got dsq'd for the maneuver.

honestly that was my favorite part of the race tho i love crimes <3

dani was one of the fallen... rip. i think there was something wrong with his car he pitted thrice and his car was on fire

also blomqvist dnf-ed but i didn't notice why it wasn't an off or i would have noticed that i think

podium: ekstrom, paffett, mortara

paffett was CHASING eki most of the race it was exciting he was FAST

oh yeah wet conditions that's why there were one william offs

home loints for luggi!

maxi gotz got his first points of the year yay!

luggi was one of the few drivers who didn't go off *flex arm*

no beamers in the points <3

2015 hockenheim i race 2 summary

GREAT FUCKING RACE

wet conditions--started dampish and started raining! always fun

crazy good wet-weather passes. SO MANY and SO GOOD

luggi didn't start :(

mercs set up their car for wet conditions so about halfway thru they suddenly come to LIFE

last place to podium drive!

did i mention the crazy good overtakes. so many drag races with spray. cutbacks. bumping. BEAUTIFUL.

my favorite part was the ALL OF IT

2015 zandvoort race 1 summary

bmws top 7 finishers *nauseous emoji*, *throwing up emoji*

podium: wittmann, da costa, martin

cars just kept slowly dnfing. di resta crashed out lap 1 and then tomczyk's car threw up smoke behind sc and then molina and mortara came into pits and never came out (because of lap1 damage?), and wickens i didn't even NOTICE, and then green spun off (race-ending) and then paffett and dani went through the gravel (non- race-ending). what the hell

my favorite part was the three-way battle that had tambay make a steller move up the middle and then also had eki make a real good sneakpast taking advantage from behind

they had this slowzone thing that i didn't understand for most of the time but essentially they can call a vsc in a certain section of the track instead of the whole thing and they call it a slow zone

2015 norisring race 2 summary

luggi did great!

loints despite a 5 sec pen for starting position. first loints!!!

overall he featured a bunch this race. kept up with the frontrunners and did some overtaking. dopeeeee

more overtaking overall than race1

omg glock's car got peeled! it was so beautiful... not from a rooting against him sense but like genuinely the golden insides of the car were beautiful

i was baking cupcakes during this race so i did miss a few things lol. whoops!

my favorite part was luggi passing for p3 near the start. oooh good drag race and taking advantage of him already getting past. (tho i did also love him harassing martin near the end that was fun.)

podium: wickens, vietoris, spengler

we also got doints but i don't think we saw dani a lick

fun angry interview midrace. couple good interviews actually. XD.

2015 lausitzring race 2 summary

we got some luggi action this time around! he did some great defending thruout

and then he did end up dnf-ing in the gravel so. not so great. but we did get to see him!

lots more action in general than in race1. weird field spread but there were p consistently battles

dani ran a p lonely race in p6 for the most part but he got p6!!! p good!!!

podium: green, ekstrom, molina

side note: i just recognized that molina was p3 from the car in parc ferme without waiting for the race standings. oh dear. i'm getting infected.

lots of cars off. it's an epidemic.

my favorite part was getting to see luggi defend against a queue of experienced drivers near the start

more audi dominance. don't minddd to see it

this one was a lot more enjoyable than race1. watch it, it's good!

2015 hockenheim i qualifying 2 summary

damp conditions! kinda exciting

track evo meant they kept just jumping up to provis pole crazystyle. very 'last one across the line'

at one point luggi was p7. i still think we should kick the shit out of his car.

dani starts last ToT. he spun off at one point

merc had a bad day <3. we got to see toto wolff storm off upsetstyle. classic source of joy <3

2015 hockenheim i race 1 summary

luggi dnf :(

8/24 dnf'd (33.3%) -- lovely stuff

2 sc's that were SO short omg

if you like a spins and violence race you'll enjoy this one

i became a fan of ekstrom due to his insanity--he was always lunging. even bumped the other red bull. <3

green just smoked the field. every (re)start he just flew ahead max '23 style. we only got glimses of him at the edges of the screen. classic art. picture cota '25 sprint.

my favorite part was the spin INTO the pit lane it was just incredible to see

no pit stops but don't worry--the pit lane still got used. due to the third of the field that dnf'd.

winner did donuts. okay??? do they do that more here? it's race 1.

2015 hockenheim i quali 1 summary

these cars LOVE going wide at that final corner. some of them in fact... too wide

they didn't show me luggi even once so i haven't seen his car realstyle but i did see an animation of it in the starting grid lineup and he's in bwt pink!

luggi qualified p24 out of 24 :(. preemptive but probably we should burn his car.

favorite part was when that car went rallying across the grass maxico '25 style except less skillful and then flew. i love when a car isn't where it's supposed to be

interesting mix of names i've literally never heard before and names i'm like omggggg i know you!

the driver mugshots are little videos of the drivers turning around and they are SO FUNNY. dani looks scared at the end of his. luggi looks incredibly young and he points to the merc logo on his chest.

i have been informed that the license plate logo is in fact a post horn. thank you deputy tanz o7
