This isn't an x reader, but Can we get Hashira's reactions to Gyomei with his adopted mother the reader who is a retired Hashira?
Gyomei's backstory is different for obvious reasons, basically the demon attacked Gyomei's orphanage when he was a young teenager instead of an young adult.
Instead of getting thrown in jail, he was forced to fend for himself. And nearly dying in the process because of his blindness.
But then the reader finds them and adopts them, and becomes the loving parent yet strict teacher, that Gyomei so desperately needed back in his youth.
Sorry if this is too long. :')
Summary: You find this young man, basically a boy, in the middle of the woods and take him back with you.
You were on your way back to the Corp's base, as your mission was done and over, you had slain the Demon you had been sent to eliminate, as told by young master Ubuyashiki himself.
What you didn't expect was to find a young man chained to the ground in the middle of the forest. There was a heavy collar around his neck, connected to a huge spike hammered into the ground by a chain.
You were confused as to why he was there... So you approached him, but you didn't expect him to call you out.
"Who's there?" He asked as he turned around, and you were about to reply when you noticed his milky white eyes. That's when you realized that he must have been blind.
"Don't be afraid," You called as you carefully made your way to him and Gods, he was huge for someone as young looking as him.
"I'm here to help." That being said, you unsheathed your sword and pointed it at the blind young man, "Hold still."
With a couple of well-aimed strikes, you cut the collar around his neck without even nicking him. The young man blinked as he felt his throat, and he looked stunned as he realized that you had released him.
"Boy," You started, "How old are you?"
"I'm... I'm 15..."
Still a baby. You frowned as you walked closer and offered your hand to him, "Someone as young as you shouldn't be in the middle of the woods like this. What would you do if you were attacked?"
The young man frowned as he accepted your hand, and you helped him up on his feet, and Gods, he was at least 2 feet taller than you.
"I'm... I'm sorry..." He apologized, and you asked, "Why were you chained to the ground like that?"
"It... It was my punishment..."
"Why?" You frowned, "What did you do?"
"They say I killed orphans I cared for..."
"Did you?"
"No!" He looked distressed and heartbroken, "It was a monster... I fought as hard as I could, but I couldn't save them..."
You understood that it must have been a Demon responsible for his loss and false arrest. Your heart ached for this young man, and you knew you wouldn't be able to leave him behind.
"Boy," You started, getting his attention, "What is your name?"
"My name..." He frowned, "I'm Gyomei. Gyomei Himejima."
"Would you like to come with me, Gyomei?"
He looked shocked by your question.
"Why?" He asked, "I'm-!"
"Innocent. I can tell." You nodded, "That is why I want you to come with me. To see- I mean, meet my Master."
"I'm..."
"Dead meat if you stay here for the night." You said, as you reached forward and gently grasped his huge hand in your petite one.
"Come with me," You gave his hand a reassuring squeeze, "I don't want you to die."
Gyomei looked uncertain, but he nodded, accepting your help. So you led him through the woods and down the empty road until you came to the very secret Demon Slayer Corps' headquarters... Where young Master himself was waiting for you.
"Ah, it's a pleasure to see you, my Hashira." Master Ubuyashiki smiled, and you immediately dropped to your knees to honor your Master.
"I've slayed the Demon you sent me to kill." You replied as you hung your head in respect. Gyomei looked confused, as he didn't understand what was happening.
"You must be Himejima?" Master Ubuyashiki asked, and the young man nodded, "Y- Yes, that is my name... But how did you know it?"
"I heard about you and your trial," Young Master nodded with a small smile, "And I understand you are innocent and tried to save those children you looked after."
"I-!" Gyomei was speechless, but you weren't surprised. Your Master had eyes and ears everywhere.
"I would like to invite you to join us, the Demon Slayer Corps, and help us take down every Demon and the Demon King himself?"
"I'm-!" He was shocked, but also overly emotional as he understood that young Master and you believed in his innocence.
"It would be my greatest honor...!" Gyomei nodded as tears rose to his milky eyes and streamed down his handsome face.
"I'm glad," Master nodded and then looked at you, "My Hashira... Can I trust you to take care of young Gyomei?"
"It would be my absolute honor, Master." You nodded as you stood up, "I will take care of him."
And you did. You invited the young blind man to your home and started to train him how to fight and how to protect himself and the people he wanted to protect.
He was natural, and you were many times taken aback by his abilities. His blindness didn't seem to hold him back at all. He was strong and capable and held natural talent you had lacked yourself back then, when you were just a Slayer and not a Hashira yet.
You liked to think that you had a big heart... But yours was nowhere nearly as big as Gyomei's was. It was one trait in him that you loved... Yes, you loved him, but not like that.
He was like the son you never had.
You were a strict teacher to him, but a loving and supportive mother figure also. You made sure to feed him properly to ensure his growth and uphold his strength, and you loved to listen to him play that Shakuhachi flute you gifted to him when you heard him mention that he had played one when he was younger.
He was strong and had so much potential in him... And his heart was just as big as the rest of him.
So you couldn't be prouder when he was promoted to Hashira. To take your place. It was your greatest honor to retire and let him take your position... Yet he seemed troubled.
"Gyomei, my boy, what is wrong?" You asked as you looked up at him, winching slightly as your back and shoulders ached slightly.
"Namu Amida Butsu..." The huge Hashira prayed as he rolled those red prayer beads of his between his strong fingers, "I'm honored... But also so sad..."
"Why so?"
"I'm... You...? Namu..." He seemed to be at a loss for words. You smiled as you recognized his kindness and thoughtfulness.
"Gyomei..." You hummed as you reached high above you and gently ruffled his dark hair, "I love you so much, you know that, right?"
"Yes," He nodded, automatically kneeling a little so you could reach his head better, "And I love you, Sensei..."
"You can call me mother!" You laughed, "You're basically a son to me!"
"Namu Amida Butsu..." He started crying harder, "I cherish you... Mother..."
"And I love you, my dear boy." You smiled, "Don't get killed out there and come visit my manor sometimes. I'll make sure to prepare your favorite meals for you!"
"Namu," He nodded as he opened his arms and wrapped them around you, hugging and holding you so close to him you could almost hear his heartbeat through his chest.
"I will..."
"Good boy," You hugged him back, "My good boy Gyomei..."
Imagine if the player controlling Akari/Rei just trama dumps on a self aware NPC like Melli or volo about there irl life, thinking they wouldn't care and just leaves them horrified.
Oh, how horrified it would leave them-
You just kinda idle in front of Melli for a bit, rubbing your temples, clearly exhausted. Why did you even start playing anyway when you had to get up early tomorrow?
"Man... My brain is in such a fog today. I can barely concentrate."
You stretch as your back pops.
"Getting hit by a car definitely wasn't what I needed. Especially after working so long today... I'm just glad he hit the breaks in time, so it wasn't like he hit us hard... and I still have to go into work for 10 hours tomorrow.
Your voice sounds so low and tired.
"Should have known boss would ask for a damn doctors note just so I could have a day off after an accident, claiming if I didn't, it wasn't 'that' serious. Ugh. I just know I have bruises forming. Is that not enough?"
You set the switch down beside you, leaning into your couch cushion.
"Add that my family decided my house was perfect for the holidays to visit when I told them I didn't want to host... I just know one of my aunts is going to yell at me again over painting my room my favorite color or something. Or asking about my love life and trying to set me up with some stranger, and getting mad when I say no. Ugh. Maybe I should just go to bed..."
You put your switch in sleep mode, unaware of the horrified look on both the Hero and Melli's faces. This wasn't the first time the Hero had heard you talk about your many troubles, but it was still worrying all the same.
Melli though, was very much not expecting that. Even he seemed a bit horrified just from the small bit he gleamed from your small ramble.
How did your OC in your Crypta pokemon au get into the Pokemon world? And what is they're abilities along with they're relationships with others? sorry if this is to much
For the pokemon AU i kept this Crypta as a separate character, but relatively the same as their original self. They're still a Starlite that can use their powers if needed.
The only that that's been changed is their story (for funsies!)
As for relationships, i'd say they're pretty well-liked by the other characters!
Ingo and Emmet enjoy talking with Crypta whenever they're traveling by subway (ingo especially.....hi sir..)
I like to think that they'd also be friends with Cynthia (champion besties...with their Garchomps going on play dates eeeeee)
Any other characters from pkmn i imagine crypta interacting with:
Guzma (cause i had an idea in my head that they beefed one time and he never got over it and somehow they're friends)
COLRESS BECAUSE HE KNOWS THEY'RE NOT HUMAN BUT CAN'T PROVE IT 🫵 FREAKYBOB CALLING
Ghetsis wants them dead <3
Rika sees them when she travels from Paldea! She sees Crypta and thinks- 'maybe shy and a bit weird but for some reason i fuck with that'
Grimsley as the quote above as well. He thinks they're weird AS FUCK but he's intrigued 😭
EXTRA: I know nothing about Sukuna, I've only seen the first 2 episodes of Jujutsu Kaisen, I am so sorry, I hope this is okay
Akaza was on a mission to find that blue spider lily that his master, Muzan Kibutsuji, wanted. That, or find a Demon able to withstand and survive the sun's deadly light.
He didn't expect to find a crying child locked in a wooden cage in the middle of the woods.
He was confused. Why was there a child in the middle of nowhere? There was a small village nearby... Maybe the child was from there, but if so, why were they caged?
"Oi." Akaza's voice made the child stop crying and turn to look at the Demon... And Akaza's eyes widened as he saw your four arms and an extra pair of eyes, which were filled with tears.
You blinked, tears falling down your cheeks as you looked at the Demon... And then you opened your mouth, but nothing you said made any sense to Akaza.
Did you even know how to speak?
"What's your name?" He tried, and you frowned as you rubbed your teary eyes. Akaza frowned also. You were no doubt young, not maybe 10, if not even younger?
"D- D-!" You tried to speak, "Demoh...!"
"That's your name?" Akaza asked, "Demon?"
You nodded, and the Demon sighed. As far as he was aware, his master didn't care about the age of people he turned into Demons. This child, you, you might as well have been sentenced to death.
One swing of his strong arm, and he destroyed your wooden prison. You were stunned as you looked at him with your four eyes shining in the moon's light, admiring him.
"Come on..." Akaza grumbled as he picked you up like you weighed nothing and started to carry you towards his hideout. It wasn't much, a small cabin in the woods that belonged to some woodcutter, but it kept him safe from the sun.
"Here," The Demon said as he picked up a leg that was left of the woodcutter and tossed it to you, "You gotta eat if you want to stay strong."
You were totally in awe as you looked at Akaza and then at the bloody leg... And you frowned, shaking your head and pushing the limb away from you.
Akaza frowned, "You need to eat, or else you won't get any stronger!"
You shook your head and started crying again, tears coming down hard, and the Demon frowned.
Were you...? Were you not a Demon? You certainly looked like one!
Akaza looked around and saw a piece of bread in the corner of the cabin. It had a little mold on it already, but he just ripped the bad part off and then offered the still good part of the bread to you.
"Can you eat this?" He asked, and you immediately stopped crying, grabbed the bread, and ate it in manner of minutes. Akaza was right, you weren't a Demon because Demons could only eat humans. Normal food would only make ones like him sick.
Once you were done with the bread, you looked at Akaza like he was your savior, which he might just have been.
"What should I do with you...?" He grumbled, as he knew he couldn't just leave you on your own. Despite your looks, you were definitely a human... But no normal human would take you in or even accept you.
"Shit..." He sighed, feeling responsible for you now that he had saved you, "I guess I'm keeping you...?"
And Akaza did just that. He made sure to get you some proper food from the nearby village, choosing to shamelessly steal whatever he wanted or felt like you needed.
He would keep you company during the nights and tried to teach you how to talk or fight. You know, basic things?
"A. KA. ZA." He said as he pointed at himself, trying to get you to learn his name. You attempted to repeat his words, but you still had some trouble with the K and Z.
But when it came to fighting and martial arts, you seemed to be natural. You were a quick learner, and it made Akaza feel pride unlike anything he had ever felt before.
"Good job, kid." He nodded as he observed the combat doll he had prepared for you to train your punches on, "You'll be strong enough to defend yourself soon enough."
You appeared to understand some words. As you heard your caretaker praise you, you smiled and ran to hug him, but Akaza always dodged your attempts to show physical affection.
He didn't want to appear weak, even to himself.
Then, one night, he was on his way back from the village, this time having stolen some seasonal fruit alongside meat and bread... But as he got closer to the cabin, he heard you crying.
At first, he didn't think much of it. You had a habit of crying sometimes when left alone... But there were other voices.
"Look, it's a small Demon!"
Akaza flinched, dropping the food he had gotten, and immediately rushed to the cabin, but instead of showing himself, he hid in a tree. He chose to observe before going in.
What he saw pissed him off badly. You were badly beaten up. There were 3 rookie Slayers, but you had tried to defend yourself; that much was clear, but 3 young adults against 1 child?
...But this was his chance to get rid of you. You had been holding him back for the past few months, now... Maybe the Slayers would show you mercy when seeing that you were able to stand in the sun?
"Is it even a Demon?"
"Of course it is! Look at it, it has four eyes and arms!"
"An easy kill!"
...But despite his attempts to abandon you, he couldn't do it. Akaza's blood was boiling as he listened to the young Slayers talk about you in that way.
"We could take it back to the base!"
"Yeah! We will get so famous if we turn in a Demon as horrible as this!"
The Slayers grabbed your arms, all four of them, and painfully twisted them behind your back, making you cry even harder as you were in pain and so afraid.
"Dammit!"
"Hold still, you little freak!"
"A- A-!" You cried out loud from the bottom of your lungs, "AKAZA!"
"Shut the fuck up-!" One Slayer raised his hand, ready to hit you, but suddenly lost the feeling in his hand. He blinked as he looked, and he screamed bloody murder, his hand chopped off cleanly.
"M- My arm!?" He fell onto his knees, clutching what was left of his arm to his chest, and his companions, who were holding you, were next. They had no idea what had happened before it was too late.
"H- Huh?" One fell on the ground... Head first and their body following the head.
"I- IIIK!" The third one let go of you and tried to run off, but his legs were neatly cut off from under him, making him collapse on the ground, crying and screaming.
Akaza stood there, his hand bloody, but with a quick flick of it, he got rid of the blood. He looked down on you, thinking that you must have been scared of him now...
"A- A-!" Your voice trembled, so small, but Akaza could hear you loud and clear, even when the two Slayers were screaming from the bottom of their lungs.
"Akaza!" You cried out loud as you threw yourself against him, wrapped all your arms around him, and hugged him, "Akaza!"
The Demon's eyes widened as he felt you hold him so hard. You must have been scared witless. These damn Slayers...!
"I'm here," He said as he knelt down before you and gently ruffled your hair, "I'm here. You're safe now."
"Akaza...!" You cried again as you hugged him again, this time wrapping your arms around his neck. Akaza's eyes were wide as you hugged him so close... It almost reminded him of something... But he couldn't understand what?
"Now..." The Demon got up and turned his murderous gaze to the two Slayers he had left still alive... For now.
"P- Please, no!"
"Mercy!"
"Payback time...!" He growled as he cracked his knuckles, and the two young Slayers screamed and cried apologies, begging for their lives, but Akaza was not feeling merciful. Not after what they did and were going to do to you.
They were dead, but their death wasn't painless. The Demon groaned as he licked his bloody knuckles and turned to look at you. You appeared completely fine in front of blood and violence. Just what kind of a life did you have that led you to that cage months ago?
"Come on, kid," He reached for your hand, which you took gladly. Akaza knew you wouldn't be able to stay in that cabin anymore. Once the word got out that Slayers had been killed, they'd send more to investigate, and Akaza didn't want to endanger you anymore.
He would protect you no matter what and no matter who he would have to face. He wasn't sure why. It was like you brought out a new side of him... It was a weakness, but he would tolerate it for the time being. Soon enough, you would become his strength.

PART 1 - PART 2
It was a rainy day when you found the two young boys alone, near your home. You were on your way back home from a doctor's meeting when you saw the two kids looking lost and confused.
They couldn't be older than 6, both so wet due to rain that their clothes, kimonos, you noted, clung to their small bodies.
You had approached them, asking if they were alright, and they had both looked at you with those big eyes and told you that they didn't know where they were.
Of course, the first thing you asked was where their parents were, but they told you there wasn't anyone; they were alone.
Orphans? You asked, and they shook their heads again. You frowned as you looked at them, and you got this urge to invite them to your home.
It could have been a scam or something, but you were a kind one and wanted to believe in the goodness in everyone.
"Would you like to come with me? I swear, I'm not some creep." You chuckled, and the kids nodded before following you to your humble home.
As soon as you made it inside, you prepared a hot bath for them, some dry clothes, and while they were bathing, you cooked something warm and filling for them to eat.
Once they were out of the bath and clothed, they scarfed down the food you had prepared for them. As they ate, you prepared yourself some calming tea, as the little thing inside your tummy was a little restless.
The boys introduced themselves as Michikatsu and Yoriichi, and to your shock, they told you they were from Japan, but not from any Japan, but from the Sengoku era.
You were sure they were pulling your leg, like kids used to do, but then they pointed out that they had been speaking fluent Japanese, and you blinked as you found yourself understanding them.
You had heard about Isekai... But you couldn't still be sure... You made a couple of phone calls, but in the end, the twins and their story appeared genuine.
"Hmm, looks like you aren't lying..." You muttered as you looked at them, and they nodded almost in perfect unison, "We wouldn't lie about something like this."
"Then... You don't have a place to go?"
"None."
"Alright..." You frowned as you thought about what you should do... And an idea came to your mind immediately.
"Would you like to stay here with me?" You had asked, and the twins had looked at each other for advice before nodding, "We'd like that."
"Then it's settled!" You smiled, "I'll adopt you and you can tell me all about how Japan was back in your time!"
They did tell you how Japan was back then, but they chose to leave the Demons and such out, for your safety.
A week later, the adoption papers were filled out and approved, and you officially became Michikatsu's and Yoriichi's mother.
The boys were little angels, honestly, taking care of you due to your very late pregnancy. They'd clean, cook, and do little things like help you to put your shoes on when you were on your way to see the doctor.
Truly, they were angels, but with time, you noticed that the boys were a little... Tense around each other, but when you asked about it from them, they replied, "We weren't close..."
This made you sad, but you hugged them both together and smiled, "You have a chance to be close now. So, for my sake, take it?"
The boys had been shocked by your request... But they both had their memories of their lives in Japan... And they understood that this was their chance to really grow as brothers, without envy or jealousy.
And then, one night, your water broke, and the boys were on it, calling the hospital to let them know you were coming. They waited for your child to be born the whole night with you, and when it came time for you to push, they held your hand, letting you know they were there...
And once the piercing wail of a newborn came, you went limp due to exhaustion. Yoriichi was mindfully wiping your sweaty forehead with a wet towel while Michikatsu followed the nurse who washed and prepared your baby.
"Congratulations, miss! It's a healthy little girl!" The nurse said as they handed your baby to you, and you nearly started crying in joy as you held your baby.
Your girl was so small... But God, she was cute.
Time passed, and finally, your daughter stopped crying and slept, no doubt exhausted as she had just arrived in the world.
You noticed that the boys were looking at her in awe, and you smiled as you offered her for them to stroke gently.
"Would you like to greet your baby sister?"
"Can we?" They asked, and you nodded. Michikatsu was a little reluctant, like he was afraid he would hurt her, but Yoriichi gently encouraged his older brother, and they gently stroked their sister's head.
"She is..."
"So small...!" They were in awe, and you couldn't help but chuckle a little, "I know."
"Are we..." Yoriichi started, "Are we surely good enough to be her brothers?"
"What if we hurt her?" Michikatsu asked, and you almost laughed, not because you were amused, but because your sons sounded so silly.
"You're wonderful, both of you." You smiled, "After all, you two are my sons that I love so much."
The twins blinked as they both realized just how much you actually loved them. As brothers, they had a very complex relationship you weren't fully aware of...
But now that they understood your love and had become older brothers, they were pretty sure they understood the concept of love better.
Later, you and your baby girl were sleeping, and Michikatsu and Yoriichi took turns guarding the two of you... But the older brother felt haunted by his past choices and actions.
"Is it time to change?" Yoriichi asked suddenly, and the older brother turned to look at his younger brother.
"Brother... Yoriichi..." Michikatsu started, but talking suddenly felt so hard, "I'm... I never got to tell you... But I'm...!"
"I know." Yoriichi smiled as he hugged his brother, "I know."
The older twin's eyes widened, and before he knew it, he was hugging his younger brother like he was afraid he would disappear if he let go...
And you smiled tiredly, woken up by pure chance to witness the sweet moment between the brothers.
You knew they held some information from you about their past, but you didn't pry, as it was something they would handle by themselves, and if they wanted to tell you, they would do it when it fit them best.
Slowly, you closed your eyes and continued resting, but you felt like your heart could burst from joy. You could barely wait for the life that awaited the four of you.

Summary: You were left to die, but these Ghost Fox Pokémon took you in, and then you ended up in a whole new world. You have to learn to adapt to survive.
You hated humans. Despised them even. They couldn't be trusted, no matter what. It was humans who hurt you the most.
Those people whom you lived with exiled you for no good reason. They left you out in the wilderness to your own devices, destined to die out there, where wild and dangerous Pokémons roamed.
You should have died out there, but this pack of Pokémons took pity on you and took you with them. They were Zoroarks and their young ones Zoruas. These Pokémons were the embodiment of death, yet they chose not to kill you but to take you with them.
And so you began living with them. They taught you how to hunt and fight so you could protect your pack. After all, the weak had no place in the world.
Then, one night, you and your pack were out there in the wilderness when the starry sky split up and sucked you and your companions in.
Next thing you knew, you were in a forest not that different from the ones where you lived and hunted, but something was wrong. You couldn't sense any other Pokémon nearby. Even the trees where some Pokémon hid were empty.
You scouted the area and once you were certain it was safe, you made it your base of operation. The young ones needed rest, and you would take turns watching after them.
The new world's creatures were weird. Some looked like many you saw in your world, but they weren't nearly as strong, opting to run away instead of fighting. They were easy meals, and you and your pack ate well.
When you ventured slightly further down the mountains, you found a human village. Bad memories surfaced, and you and your pack chose to avoid them, as you had plenty of food in the mountains.
You and your pack thrived there in there... Then one night, you and Zoroarks sensed something. Intruders in your area. You chased down these intruders and found out they were men... But not a human, but something else entirely.
The creatures called themselves Demons, and they were looking at you with those eyes you could recognize anywhere. Hunger. Too bad, you wouldn't be their meal, but they were going to become yours.
You and Zoroarks learned that the Demons healed quickly, so killing them was a challenge... Or it would have been, if you hadn't eaten them. That was when you learned to harness the Demons' unique powers, and you developed a liking for the Demons' flesh.
Suddenly, these rabbits, deer, and boars you had hunted and eaten until that night didn't taste the same, but the Demons tasted amazing. Yet you chose to keep hunting for the sake of young Zoruas and so they wouldn't have to eat Demon flesh yet.
Then humans started to come to the mountains... So you and Zoroarks took action, taking different human forms and chasing them away. You copied their loved ones, dead or alive, and so the intruding people always left screaming for their lives...
You started to use the villagers to lure in Demons so you could feast... But one night, something, no, someone else entered your mountain.
Nine humans, all equipped with weapons unlike anything you had ever seen, and they radiated power and strength, but you and your pack were no weaklings.
Each and every Zoroark had acquired a special ability from the Demons you had eaten, and thus, you were stronger than you ever were.
The seven men and two women were strong... But you were stronger and in the end, you knew that you would come out victorious in this grand battle of yours.
But in the midst of battle, you heard a loud cry which made your blood turn cold in fear. You looked aside and saw one of the young ones, a very curious little Zorua, nearby, but so far away from you and the other Zoruas.
The little one was so scared that it took the form of a human child as an attempt to save itself. You were frustrated because you couldn't leave the young ones alone when the enemy was so close, but you wanted to save the little one...!
But then, the pink-haired human woman made her way to the kid, and you were ready to bounce at her-! But instead of attacking the lost kid, she put herself between the kid and Zoroarks.
You couldn't believe it. A human was risking her life for another one? Back in Hisui, even kids would have been left behind if they couldn't carry their weight...
Then one by one, the nine people surrounded the little one as they attempted to protect them from their own pack. But the fighting against Ghost-type Pokémon left them all tired and wounded, and your pack was after blood when they saw the pink-haired woman hold the little one against her chest.
They were about to do it, to end them all, but before they could do so, you let out a loud cry, and the Zoroarks stopped immediately. You looked at the young ones, and they understood to stay hidden.
You walked out of your hideout and approached the humans, who took their weapons and stood ready to attack you. The closer you got, the Zoroarks made way for you, but never stepped too far from you.
When you were close enough yet far enough to be safe, you lowered yourself on one knee and opened your arms.
"Come." You called, and the little Zorua that had masked itself as a human child jumped away from the pink-haired girl and ran to you, much to the humans' confusion.
Only when the little one jumped into your arms, it let go of its illusion and turn back into the little Fox Pokémon you knew and loved. The little one cried in your arms, and you gently petted it as you got up on your feet and looked at the humans who were stunned that the kid wasn't actually a human.
"Who are you and what do you want from us?" You asked, and the humans shared confused glances before a scarred man snapped, "We are here to hunt you down, you fox Demon!"
"Demon?" You tilted your head, and this man with bandages over his lower face glared at you, "Don't play stupid! We-!"
"I think you have a couple of things wrong." You quickly corrected them, "Demons are our food. We have no other connections to them."
"You...?" The man with flame-haori scowled slightly, "You eat Demons? Not humans?"
"Humans are below us." You nodded, "But they aren't worth our time. Demons on the other hand..."
"What about them?" The youngest man asked, and you hummed as you pet the Zorua in your arms, "They taste good. They provide us with what we need to survive out here."
"Namu... You keep saying us..." This huge blind man frowned, "These fox spirits... They aren't your doing?"
"These creatures are called Zoroark, and they are my pack." You said as you looked at the little one in your arms fondly, "And this one is one of our babies called Zorua."
"So these Zoroarks... They aren't your creations?" A calm black-haired man asked, and you shook your head, "Believe it or not, but we come from a different world where there are many more different beings like us."
"If you're a human and not a Demon..." The purple-haired woman looked at you, "Then why are you with these creatures?"
"My own people, humans, left me to die." You said, "And they," You looked at the Zoroarks around you, "They took me in. They saved me."
The Pokémon around you cried and howled as they recognized you as one of their own, and you felt happy. The white-haired male said, "That's nice and all... But you can't scare people like you have been doing!"
"They came to OUR home." You frowned, "We just chased them away."
You looked at the people before you, and your gaze landed on the pink-haired woman, who looked at you uncertainly, "I see you want to say something."
The young woman flinched, but nodded quickly, determined, "Is... Is the little fox okay?"
You blinked, as you didn't expect that. No human had ever shown compassion to you or your pack. Not even for the Zoruas. You looked at the little one in your arms and it stared back at you with those big eyes of its.
"It will be." You nodded as you looked at the woman, "Thanks to you. Your actions saved all your lives."
"We could have taken you on and-!" The scarred man tried to shout, but you quickly raised your hand and frowned.
"Please, don't flatter yourselves." You said, "If it wasn't for this pink woman, you'd be dead."
"That being said..." The blind man nodded, "You are strong... Have you thought about channeling that strength of yours to helping and saving people's lives-?"
"I don't give two shits about humans." You frowned, "All I care about are Zorua and Zoroark."
"In that case!" The flame-haori man smiled, "Why won't you and your foxes hunt Demons?"
You frowned as you felt like you were about to repeat yourself, but the man quickly raised his hand, "Hear me out! You said you eat them, didn't you?"
"I did." You nodded.
"Then come with us!"
"Oi, Rengoku-!?" The scarred man snapped, but this man, Rengoku, smiled, "Why not? They are strong and kill Demons!"
"We do it for ourselves." You said, "Not for others and especially not for humans."
"Then do it for yourselves!" Rengoku put his sword away. "These foxes... They know how to change their appearance, right?"
He looked at the little one in your arms, and you nodded, "They can."
"Then you could join us and hunt Demons and eat them as much as your hearts desire!"
"That..." The blind man nodded, "That isn't the worst plan."
"Not you too, Himejima!" The scarred man scowled, but one by one, the humans put their weapons away.
"We are not your enemies." The calm, black-haired man said, "But we could be allies."
"I don't-!"
"We understand you don't like humans." The youngest man nodded, "But you could think of this as a chance for your pack. I doubt you get many Demons here to eat."
You hated to admit it, but the kid was right. Demons started to venture into your mountain and forest area more and more rarely. Like they knew they'd die if they entered the area, and they weren't wrong.
"And what?" You asked, "We follow you out of our home, and then what happens?"
"Join us and find out!" The white-haired man smiled, "You never know unless you try!"
You frowned as you looked around, and all the Zoroarks were looking at you for guidance. You had to make the decision that would determine you and your pack's future and safety.
After a long silence, you nodded, "Very well. We shall follow you, but if it looks like you're about to hurt us, then we will finish off what we started!"
"You have our word," Himejima nodded, "You and your pack will be safe with us."
You were suspicious, but you had to think about what was best for your pack and put aside your personal grudges with humans.
"We will round up the young ones and will follow you." You said as you turned around and started to walk towards the hideout where Zoruas hid from danger.
While you left and Zoroarks followed you, the Wind and Serpent Hashira turned to glare at the Flame Hashira, "Have you lost your mind, Rengoku!? You invited her to join us!?"
"It's fine!" Kyojuro nodded as he looked at Sanemi and Obanai, "Things worked out great!"
"Great!?" The two men scowled, "We have a crazy woman and her gang of wolf monsters in our hands!"
"Rengoku is right." Giyu said as he joined the four men, which annoyed Sanemi, "Haa? And why is that!?"
"Because we would rather have her and her pack on our side than on Muzan's..." Came Gyomei's voice, and that was when they realized that if the Demon Kind had gotten his hands on you, it could have been fatal to Demon Slayers.
A moment passed as you fetched the rest of the pack, and the Hashiras' eyes widened when they saw all the little Zoruas that stayed close to their guardians.
"Aww, they are so cute!" Mitsuri couldn't help but squeal at their cuteness.
"How are you going to make it to our base?" Shinobu asked, "No offence, but you stick out like a sore thumb."
The Pokémons turned to look at you, and you nodded. With your signal, the Zorua and Zoroark jumped into the air and transformed into human villagers.
"Wow..." Muichiro blinked as he watched the foxes turn, and others were just as amazed by it. Even Gyomei, who was blind, could sense the change.
"We are ready." You said, and the humans nodded, "Follow us," and they turned their backs to you as they started to show you the way, and you followed... When the child, the little one from earlier, ran ahead and grabbed Mitsuri's hand.
"Oh?" The young woman blinked, stunned, but the child smiled at her and gently squeezed her hand. The pink-haired woman smiled as she easily picked the little one up and seated them on her shoulders.
"You're so high up!" She giggled, "Can you see far ahead?"
The little one nodded, their eyes shining in joy... And you felt complicated. These humans... They weren't bad like the ones who abandoned you... And they actually showed somewhat compassion to Zoruas and Zoroarks.
Extra: I kinda lost the Alucard personality (I haven't seen or read Hellsing or this elf series), and the story became too long accidentally, but I hope you enjoy this!
You blinked as you looked at the basket left on your doorstep. Who could have left that? You looked around, trying to see whoever it was who had left the basket in front of the feared witch's doorstep.
You knew that the basket didn't just appear there; you lived alone in the middle of the thick forest that was rumored to be cursed by, well, you guessed, by yours truly. Even the sun’s light couldn’t penetrate the thick forest above you.
You were gone maybe 30 minutes… Or maybe 3 hours, but you had a good reason! You needed some herbs for your potions, and you lost track of time.
"What the Hell…?" You grumbled when you suddenly heard a quiet whine. Confused, you looked at the basket and noticed movement. Your curiosity got the best of you, and you reached for the purple cloth and pulled it aside.
"Oh-?"
It was a baby? A scarred baby!?
You stared eyes wide at this small creature, who let out another whine, and you frowned. Why on Earth did someone leave a baby with you?
"And who might you be?" You asked as if the baby could answer, but it only whined.
"Sorry, but I don't speak baby." You replied, and the little thing attempted to fit its whole fist into its mouth.
"Seriously, to leave a baby at a witch's doorstep!?" You sighed out loud, "Where is this world going?"
The baby giggled, but you weren't sharing its enthusiasm.
"Come on," You sighed as you set down your basket full of herbs and instead grabbed the baby’s basket's handle, "I'm sending you back to the village and-!"
You didn't get to finish the sentence as a piece of paper fell from the basket. You blinked as you picked up the note and read it.
'My name is Genya. Please take care of me, I have no home or family.'
"Huh…” You hummed as you looked at the mini human, “So your name is Genya?"
Hearing his name, the baby squealed happily as he reached for you and-!
"Ouch ouch ouch!"
He pulled on your long hair!
"Now now, Genya- Ouch- My hair isn't a toy!"
You gently took his hand and made him let go of your hair, making a small note to tie it up. You frowned as you looked at him and the note in your hand. It was obvious that whoever left him on your doorstep was desperate.
During your long life, you had witnessed these markings on a few people. They said that if a baby was born scarred or otherwise marked, they carried marks from their previous life with them.
Not many knew where you lived, as most people tended to avoid you and your forest due to your reputation… But your reputation meant nothing to this baby. This innocent baby that carried its past on its skin…
Never during your long, long life had you been bestowed with a child, as you had no interest in them… But maybe it was time for a change?
“Come on, Genya…” You hummed as you opened your cabin’s door and carried him inside so he wouldn’t get cold. That is how you adopted Genya.
The beginning was so chaotic. Despite being an old witch, you knew nothing about babies. Why should you have? It wasn’t like you had any friends to teach you or such!
…Or, well, you didn’t have normal friends, but you had some contacts.
Maybe that was one reason you took Genya in? Because you were lonely? Who knows?
You sought out answers from the other witches and wizards you knew, and they were very helpful. Some even came to see how you were doing. It also helped a ton to be able to use magic. It made your life a little easier.
Time passed, and little Genya grew into a fine young boy. He was extremely smart and adventurous, always eager to join you when you would go seek out herbs and such.
He was eager to learn also and you were proud to see him excel at his studies. You didn’t teach him just magic, but you taught him how to read and write. Yet he still insisted that you read him stories about life outside your woods.
“Mama, can we someday go out?” He asked one night as he looked at you from under his blanket.
“But Genya, sweetie, we go out nearly every day, don’t we?” You asked back, but the young boy shook his head so hard his mohawk moved, “No, I mean, somewhere where there are other people like us?”
“Well, I doubt witches and their apprentice walk around-!”
“Noo!” Genya laughed, “Where there are humans! Normal ones who can’t use magic like us!”
“Hmm…” You hummed as you pondered his words, “Maybe one day? When you’re bigger? Then we can go out on a real adventure!”
“T- Then I promise, I’ll get big really quickly!” He nodded while looking so determined that it nearly melted your heart.
“Aww, sweetie, take your time.” You said as you closed the book and put it away before planting a kiss on Genya’s temple, “You have no hurry to grow up yet. Enjoy your youth.”
“Hmm… Alright!” The young boy nodded with a smile, and you returned his smile before you got up and moved to the room’s entrance.
“Sweet dreams, Genya.” You raised your hand to air, and with a click of your fingers, the lights went out.
Time passed, and your sweet little Genya grew into a fine young man… But damn, he grew so huge! Did all humans grow that big? Was it something you fed him?
“Genya!” You called from your humble kitchen into the second-floor room that belonged to your adoptive son, “We’re having guests over!”
You waited for a second and another, and suddenly the door flipped open and Genya rushed down faster than he could fly with a broom.
“Guests?!” He looked stunned, “Really!?”
“Yes, your uncles are coming to visit us.”
“Uncle Urokodaki and Kuwajima?” Genya frowned, “I haven’t seen them… In ages?”
“Even better reason for us to tidy up the place!” You smiled as you waved your finger in the air, brooms, rags, and other cleaning supplies flying from one direction to another. The place was spotless already, yet you still insisted on cleaning and… Were you baking?!
“Mother, uh…” Genya looked nervously at how you had your nose buried into a baking book, “Are you sure you want to bake?”
“Of course!” You smiled, “I’m feeling confident today!”
“Uh…” The young man swallowed, “Mother, what if one of us focuses on cleaning and the other on baking?”
“You think so?” You put the book down, and he nodded eagerly, “Yes! I want to take some work off your shoulders!”
“Aww, you’re such a sweetie!” You smiled, and Genya sighed in relief. He loved you, he really did, but you weren’t really a baker. You could cook, but your baking abilities were… Scary.
“You go and clean, and I’ll get the cupcakes and cookies started!”
That… That was not what he meant, but he didn’t have the heart to tell you otherwise. So Genya sighed and grabbed a broom he was used to riding and started to clean the already spotless house.
After a while, there was a knock on the door, and you and Genya perked up immediately.
“Ah, they’re here!” You turned to smile at Genya, “Would you be dear and open the door?”
“On it,” The young man nodded as he put the broom away and went to open the door.
“Genya!” Jigoro Kuwajima, this small old grandpa, smiled as he saw your adoptive son, “You have grown! What does that mother of yours feed you with? Last time we saw, I could pick you up!”
“You have certainly grown.” Sakonji Urokodaki nodded, still wearing that red Tengu mask of his.
“Uncles,” Genya nodded respectfully, and made way for the two men, “Please come on in.”
“Thank you!” Jigoro grinned as he and Sakonji entered your humble home.
“Jigoro and Sakonji!” You laughed as you made your way to the front door, which Genya closed behind the two wise wizards. The three of you hugged each other and laughed like old friends.
“I’m glad to see you two!” You laughed, in good manner, “Come on in! We have cupcakes and cookies here!”
“Sounds marvelous!” Jigoro and Sakonji both nodded as they followed you into the kitchen, Genya following close behind.
“Your apprentice has grown!” The shorter wizard chuckled, and you nodded, proud of Genya, “Yes! My Genya flies the broom better than I do already!”
“That’s good! My Zenitsu is quite skilled with lighting and light spells!”
“Jigoro, you old goat, Genya here is a natural talent when it comes to magic!”
“My apprentices are doing well also.” Sakonji nodded, and you smiled, “Oh, Tanjiro and Nezuko, right?”
You looked at Genya, “You probably don’t remember, but you have actually met Zenitsu, Tanjiro, and Nezuko when you were still a small boy!”
“The… Kid with a scar on his forehead?” Your son could faintly remember Tanjiro, as he was very kind to him, while Zenitsu was afraid of Genya because of his scars, and Nezuko… She was quiet, but appeared nice.
“That would be him,” Sakonji nodded, and you giggled as you waved your finger and two plates filled with cupcakes and cookies flew to the table, “Please, have some sweets I made!”
The two older men shared a glance before reaching over, one taking a cupcake and the one a cookie. Genya wanted to warn them, but it was too late. Jigoro bit into his cupcake, and Sakoni lifted his mask enough to take a bite out of his cookie.
Your adoptive son watched nervously as your friends ate… And Jigoro laughed, “Ha ha, these taste just as good as I remembered!”
Sakonji nodded quietly, but Genya couldn’t believe what he was hearing and he wouldn’t have if he hadn’t seen it himself. Your baking was actually good?
“Please, Genya, have one?” You asked with a smile that made it impossible for the young man to turn down your offer.
“Thank you, mother…” He accepted the cookie and took a bite-!
“Hrugh-!” He nearly choked on the cupcake. The texture was right, but the taste was plain awful. What was that? Was that garlic and caramel? He had to force the piece in his mouth down, and even after swallowing, he was near tears.
“Some things just won’t change.” Sakonji nodded, and the short wizard sitting next to you grinned at you, “You’re best we know at alchemy, yet your cooking is barely edible!”
“Hey, I’m a good cook! I did keep Genya alive, didn’t I?” You pouted, and the men turned to look at your son.
“Mother is a good cook…” He nodded, looking visibly ill, “It’s just… Her baking…”
“Ha ha! What were you thinking, putting garlic in your cupcakes?”
“Or soy sauce in your cookies…?”
“Hey, I thought they tasted just fine!” You pouted, and that only made Jigoro laugh even louder as he looked at Genya, “You look sick, son! Did this wicked witch finally poison you?”
“Jigoro, you old fart.” You chuckled now also, unable to resist your two friends… Or their charm.
“Who are you calling old?” The old man grinned, “You’re 100 years older than me!”
“M- Mother!?” Genya turned to look at you in shock. You didn’t look old! If he had to guess, you could have passed as someone in their twenties! You giggled lightly as you raised your hand to cover your grin, “Genya, sweetie, we witches and wizards age differently.”
“It’s her baking,” Jigoro laughed, and Sakonji nodded, “They may taste awful, but they keep one young.”
“Really?” Your beloved son looked at you and you smiled, “I can give you my recipes if you like?”
“I…” Genya swallowed down air, which went down way better than your baking, “I’ll think about it…”
“Think fast, boy!” Jigoro nodded, “As the apprentice of the cursed forest witch, you gotta gather your belongings sooner or later and head out there!”
“Wait, what?” The young man blinked as he looked at you in shock, “Mother…? Are you…? Are you kicking me out?”
“No, no!” You shook your head, “I am sending you off to an adventure you always dreamed of!”
“Without you?”
“Genya, my dear sweet boy,” You reached forward and gently placed your hand over his, giving him a soft squeeze, “There is something you don’t know. A reason why I never took you out of my forest. Why you couldn’t see other humans.”
“What could that possibly be!?”
“Son, your mother is under the influence of a powerful curse.” Sakonji said, and Jigoro nodded, “She can’t leave the forest or she will cease being.”
“Even her baking can’t save her from that.”
“Then… Can’t you break it? The curse, can’t you break it?” Genya looked at your friends, who both looked sorry.
“We have tried, son.”
“But this is some vicious magic. It can’t be lifted just like that.”
“But…” Genya looked at you, expecting you to be heartbroken, but instead, you were smiling lovingly at him, “My Genya… You grew up so fast.”
“M- Mother…?”
“It’s okay, my sweet boy!” You cheered, “I want you to go out there and have fun!”
“But what about you!?” Genya snapped, feeling distraught, “I can’t just leave you!”
“Genya, you’re always welcome back home. I can’t leave the forest, but you can, and you can also enter it.” You chuckled, “It’s not like I’m going anywhere or dropping dead anytime soon.”
“But… It’s not fair for you…?”
“Life is not fair, son.” Jigoro said, suddenly serious, and Sakonji nodded, “But we will make the best of it.”
“So please, Genya,” You squeezed his hand, “Go and live for my sake also?”
“I…” The young man scowled. He was feeling so many emotions, anger, frustration, even sadness… But finally, he nodded, “Okay. I’ll do it.”
“That’s my boy!” You cheered, but before you could get a second word out, your son squeezed your hand.
“I’ll go and find a way to break your curse!” Genya snapped, “Then you and I can go on a grand adventure together!”
You blinked, stunned that he still remembered or held that old promise in his mind… Yet, you couldn’t help but laugh and nod, “That sounds really nice, Genya… Alright! Let’s do that!”
“Promise!?”
“I promise!”
“Son, if you want, we can take you with us now?” Sakonji asked, and your son blinked, “Wait, now?”
“That’s why we came here,” Jigoro said, “Your mother asked us to come and take you to civilization.”
“Mother?”
“No better time than the present, right?” You giggled, and Genya sighed. Of course, you would look after him and think of what was best for him.
He nodded as he got up and moved his chair under the table, “Alright. I’ll go pack my stuff now.”
“Take all the time you need,” You called as he left the room. You sighed as you watched him disappear around the corner, already missing him.
“Motherhood really changed you.” Sakonji noted with a knowing nod, and you turned to look at him, confused, “What? How?”
“You used to be so bitter, and all you did was sulk here.” Jigoro grinned, “But with that boy around, you’re almost like yourself… Before the curse, I mean.”
“Well…” You looked after Genya, “He is my sunshine, I didn’t know I needed.”
“We swear…” Sakonji and Jigoro both reached forward to hold your hand on the table, “We will find out how to break this curse Kibutsuji cast on you.”
“Just look after my boy, and I’m a happy witch.”
A moment later, you were by the entrance of your humble cabin, embracing your son as you got ready to say bye-bye.
“I’ll miss you…” Genya said as he hugged you tightly. You chuckled a little, amused by how the roles had been switched. How you used to hold him protectively, and now he was holding you the same way.
“You can always come back home.” You nodded and squeezed him lovingly, “But remember to have fun also! Life is too short.”
“Says the 700-year-old witch,” Jigoro chuckled, but you were too busy hugging Genya to care. You did give your friend a finger, but otherwise, you held onto your son.
“Sent me letters! I am eager to hear how your journey turns out!” You said, and the young man nodded as it was time to leave.
“I love you.” Genya said, and you smiled lovingly, “And I love you. Now go have fun!”
“Yes, Mother!”
“Alright, one teleportation magic coming right up!” Jigoro grinned as he used his wooden cane to draw a magic circle around him, Sakonji, and Genya. As soon as the circle was perfect, the light swallowed the three most important men in your life, taking them somewhere where you couldn’t go.
“Oh, my sweet boy…” You sighed sadly, “You’ve been gone less than a minute, and I already miss you so much.”
You felt sad, yet you couldn’t help but smile at the idea of your son thriving out there. Maybe he could travel with Jigoro’s and Sakonji’s apprentices? What kind of amazing adventures could they have?
Like you, Sakonji and Jigoro used to have? Oh, the memories.
You hummed as you went back inside, making sure to leave the door slightly ajar for your boy.
