New Year...New Easy Star

How's it going, Easy Star Nation? We'd like to start off this week's post with a Happy New Year! 2011 was a banner year for Easy Star Records. We released several albums: the first all-original full-length from Easy Star All-Stars, First Light; the smash-hit label debut by The Green, Ways & Means, as well as their pre-release EP Love & Affection; and brought you some holiday cheer with Cas Haley's Gifts to Give. Our bands toured the world, playing venues from Maui to Jerusalem, Montreal to Sydney, Mexico City to London, Miami to New York, and everywhere in-between.  As exciting as 2011 was, we're determined to make 2012 even more memorable. TheDubside.com named The Green Best Band of 2011 noting, "Their swagger can melt the polar ice caps its so hot." Check out their Best Band feature on the website and receive a free download of "Love & Affection".  Make sure to purchase your tickets to see The Green play in the coming months with reggae giants SOJA (in Hawaii) and Rebelution (all over the Midwest and western half of the US)! Cas Haley is also on the road in the Pacific Northwest this week. In Grants Pass, Oregon on Saturday, Cas is very excited to be playing for the first time with Gary Mallaber (Van Morrison, Bruce Springsteen, Peter Frampton, Steve Miller Band) and bassist Greg Johnson (CSN, Steve Miller Band), as well as Oregon guitar legend Andy Casad. We're happy to announce the first planned Easy Star All-Stars live performance of the year. They will be joining Midnite, Gondwana, Rootz Underground, and more on February 18th at the One Love Nutrifest in Miami. Take a break from the cruel winter and hang out with the All-Stars in the wonderful Miami climate for a great cause! And don't forget to check out the Easy Star Store!
