We mash up the place
Turn up the bass
And make them all have fun
A-we a blaze the fire
Make it bun dem
We mash up the place
Turn up the bass
And make some soundboy run
And we will end your week
Just like a Sunday

i’ve been rinsing sully’s super solid 140bpm jungle on countless gigs and shows and i just can’t stop loving it. it’s monstrous bass paired with with old school flavour and ethereal vocals just set every scenery on fire. an absolute classic, released on the legendary breakstep institute of urban graffiti.
on the hotflush remix eps in 2008, seach&destroy’s earlier ‘candyfloss’ from 2004 got a traveling toasty treatment (and a digital mystikal loefah remix). in exchange toasty’s masterpiece known as ‘knowledge’ received three remixes too. vex’d have done a great job as usual on not one, but two versions, but an upcoming talent called untold was able to create a true sequel to the original.
the 9th storming release from 2006 is still a beast. toasty is a true legend who have done timeless cuts only and his rumbly rolling dream weavers isn’t an exception either. but, this time oli marlow’s ‘the rope’ outshines him with such a unique musical tension of dramatic chords and steam-rolling bass, that will always give you goosebumps on a good rig.
back in 2004 i've been listening a lot to this unreleased tune by mc stamina,it is still a timeless breakstep beast!
update: hope to hear stamina's 2015 retake!
reso have been one of the finest freestyle bass music innovators since the former years. you could hardly hunt down his early works on used vinyl crates and some of the tracks are not available in digital anymore, so it's great news that he have made a nice selection of his releases on urban graffiti, audiophreaks, smoking sessions, pitch black and pressing issues for a very fair price! well done
