Hello! I saw that you reblogged my post about Spain's last name (THANKS!) and asked in your tags how do names work in these countries. Basically, you have Mom+Dad (Mom doesn't get dad's last name like in the states!). Let's say mom is Jane Collins and Dad is Ed Smith. They have a kid named Guy. Guy, in a Hispanic country, would be Guy Smith-Collins; but in a legal document, SMITH would be his important surname, because it's his paternal name. I'm sorry if it didn't make sense!
