I’m not doing a full review on episode 5 of Tomjake S2. I’m just posting my thoughts on the Huntally breakup.

I don’t think this counts as a vent, but I’m mentioning that it could possibly here just in case.

I actually got spoiled on this, and initially crashed out really bad, but I’ve calmed down since, which is good because I want this post to make sense.

As someone who absolutely loves their relationship, I hate that this is canon. With a passion.

The fact that they’re broken off in a spinoff for a different couple hurts. This should’ve happened when they were the focus at the very least (even if I don’t like them breaking up at all).

That and also the fact that we just got to see them fall in love in the DC2 remake. It feels like they’re rubbing salt in the wound now.

Their relationship is my favorite part of Disventure Camp. I’m upset, even if the scene where the breakup is confirmed is written well and they’re still friends. There’s something so real about their story to me. They’re not perfect but they’re doing their best and I love that.

They mean a lot to me personally, partly because I heavily relate to Ally, so I’m more upset than I probably should be, but whatever.

That being said, I will be making Huntessally content, and probably Huntally content as well. Screw canon, I’m not letting THE TOMJAKE SPINOFF take away my current favorite thing.

On a brighter note, Ally is so fucking gorgeous here, and her singing was beautiful. I’ll be adding that song to my playlist immediately.

Me saying this doesn’t mean I hate disventure camp now or anything. It’s still my favorite show, but I’m losing hope.
