y’all certainly love making jokes about aelin in which she is just a spoiled white teenage girl and I would just ... I would just like to remind you, as an actual white teenage girl from a colonized country, that her country was invaded and conquered by another when she was a child, that she actually did die due to that, as did her family. It would also please me to remind you that she was abused all throughout her formative years by this man who was also an assassin.
I’d like to remind you that her first, teenage love was tortured to death and there was nothing she could do. Instead, she herself was tortured and locked away in a salt mine, to be an actual slave.

I love the new midwife. I don’t know how accurate everything that she told me is, as far as when I’d be required to transfer to hospital (she’s new to the province and might not know all the rules here??), but she does a good job of reminding me that I’m in charge of my own care, not them and not the hospital.
She let me pick what dates (and if) I wanted to book into the midwife clinic for another visit (41+1), post-date hospital tests (41+3, 42+0, 42+3), and a consult with a hospital ob (none unless an ultrasound or nst comes back poorly). Going past due has never been so relaxing. :P
